Look at All That Rice :: Beautiful Japan #92
The lifeblood of Japan.
Most farms in this area harvest their rice around Obon (end of August), but others wait a few more weeks. Whatever the case may be, around this time of year you see the all the rice plants in all the rice paddies bowing beneath the weight of the rice which is practically spilling out. It's a pleasant sight, especially when the light hits the rice and it turns a golden yellow.
