ALLIANCE APPLICATION

1. How Did You Find Out About the Alliance?

I can't say with absolute certainty where I first heard of the alliance. I noticed the name initially, but not knowing what it was I thought nothing more of it. Then it showed up a few more times. I grew curiouser and curiouser, as is my want. Then I noticed some Steemians that I follow, and whom I run into from time to time seemed to be members. @tattoodjay was the first, so perhaps he is to blame. I'm not sure. I recently saw that @katrina-ariel joined, and feeling a tinge ofjealousy admiration, I started snooping around. Then my new friend @sharoonyasir applied for membership.

"I'm getting left behind", I cried in despair. "What am I to do?" Put in an application you dimwit – the still small voice inside me has an attitude. But he was correct. So here 'tis.

2. Why Do You Want To Be a Part Of The Group?

On closer inspection I came to realise that the alliance seems to be founded on principles that I try to operate on. With an emphasis on community interaction via commenting especially, and votes, but with a prime focus on quality of material. I pride myself on posting only quality, all original (or photos used with permission), creative writing based content on a regular basis. I consider my blog to be an extension of myself in a way. And as such I believe that a synergy exists between our stated purposes here at Steemit. I wish to both continue to grow here, as well as help a like minded assortment of individuals to grow with me. I have tried to operate on that basis. That is the main reason I wish to join.

The camaraderie is also something that I think will be beneficial. I'm not the most social person, but I believe in making genuine connections, offering true help, and communicating effectively. I believe that Steemit has a long and bright future, and the growth already experienced will pale into insignificance compared to what may lay ahead. So the foundation has been laid, and it's time to make certain that Steemit continues to develop into the place we want it to be. Groups like the alliance play a vital role in helping make that happen.

3. What Do I Have To Contribute?

Mostly I have words. My blog is full of them. Big words, little words. Even made up words. I use them to – hopefully – entertain. Sometimes to bewilder, or mesmerise, enlighten, or confuse. But not to hurt. At least thats never my intention. I prefer to build worlds, to pull life out the imaginary and give it form and shape and breath. To make it know itself. That is my blog, and it's purpose. I bring that, and will continue to bring that.

Then there's me. I spoke about me earlier, but let's talk about me for a little bit longer. I understand the value of help. I get that it is a two way flow. I have started a new curation project based on those very principles (The Library). To help build a network of writers, and assist each other in ways we couldn't manage on our own. To move closer to our own individual goals, such as publishing our own material. So I get that for the individual to flourish, it pays for the support mechanisms around him to be strong and energised also. And this is what I have to contribute as well. An understanding of these principles and ideas. A working knowledge of how to apply them. And a care factor large enough to act on it.

Anyway, that's my application to join the alliance. Hope it informed, and delivered. But most of all, I hope it entertained also. Because that's what I try to do.

Nice application , welcome to the family.... ;-) you will not left behind we as family are with you... ;-)

@adityajainxds #thealliance

Thank you, great to meet you :)

Yayy, you did it. The application is just lovely and yeah, very entertaining so I guess your mission is achieved and since you did get into the Alpha Syndicate, you definitely achieved all your goals with this application. I think the words on your blog, like all of them are an amazing gift you could offer to anyone. They comfort us, guide us, support us, entertain us, make us laugh and feel happy and most importantly, make us feel that there is someone who gets what we are going through so just keep the words coming.

Yes, I got in, must have said the right things somewhere along the line :)

I've noticed the most growth in my overall Steemit experience has occurred whilst participating in the couple of well run groups that I am already in. And the alliance seems to be a step up from those even, so it can only get better. Thanks for your supportive words.

Yes I started experiencing good growth after joining some communities too and #thealliance has definitely contributed to a lot of it and #steemitbloggers as well. Not to forget @steemengine.

I love the steem engine, they're emphasis on making meaningful comments especially. It means the posts need to be read to truly interact. I think that's good for everyone. For the quality of posts, and genuineness of readers.

Yeah that's one thing I love about them too. Also their rule for upvoting and commenting on two posts to promote yours is effective in increasing engagement on posts.

Thank you for the opportunity.

Fantastic application. I would like to officially welcome you in the Alpha Syndicate. Come on in and get to know everyone :)

Thank you, I'll get right to it :)

Well, hello @naquoya! Nice application! It's good to get to know you better, and, as a writer, I can appreciate your love for words. The Library is a great idea for a curation post! Steem on! :)

Hello, and thank you. The Library is something i am quite proud of. Looking forward to that making a difference. Thanks for dropping my :)

Start packing your loads to become an Ally with #thealliance. This is such a nice and entertaining application @naquoya. Let me say a hearty welcome in advance pending when your application will be considered.
Do have a bombastic day. 😁😁😁

I'm getting ready. I'll see you on the inside :)
All the best, and thanks for dropping by.

You are welcome bro.😀

Hello Scott! I'm glad you found the community that has the same outlook as you.
I look forward on learning, reading and getting to know you better. :)

Thank you :)
The alliance community appears to be a great Steemit endeavour. I'm looking forward to participating.

OK, I’m a little slow at times, is thealliance a hashtag for writers?

It's a support group, with a Discord channel. Based around mutual flow of commenting and voting and interacting. Its for all categories. To help build networks.

Ah, I always freeze up on discord, it makes me nervous, but I know many like it.

It took me a while to get the hang of it. And even now I still don't get all the features.

My biggest problem is that I’m not into chit-chat. I can go for days without saying anything.

I usually share your predilection. I not big into chat for the sake of it, but I try to go with the flow - problem is often I resemble a drowning man that an elegant swimmer. What can you do?

I’m more the voice of silence.

Oh wow, I didn't know that The Alliance was something you apply for. I follow some people who are part of it, and when I ask the only response I get was that it was a Discord group that comments on each others' posts. No instructions of how to join, no invite whatsoever. I took it as somewhat a sign of yet another group that I have no business being part of.

What a year for you, huh mate! Look at you joining groups left and write, and being a total community man. Way to break out of your shell! Congrats on your surefire acceptance :D

It's all part of a strategy that I am working to. So it's not completely altruistic, although it is based on a win-win scenario. I'll see how it goes, and so long as all sides are in front then onwards and upwards as they say.

So far the Steem Engine has been the group I would recommend the most, if a simple Discord connection is all you want. No applications etc. They operate on interacting with others which includes making good comments. They've been very supportive.

Like @beginningtoend, I'm not that big on the chats. But, as you could attest to, I leave very hefty comments. If the weight of comments would be quantified, I'm confident mine would surely be up there.

If you saw me on the chats you would realise that I am in the same boat. I prefer, like you, to comment. I learned the art from you anyway. But so many people seem to interact on Discord and not on posts. Weird, but I like to see posts with a tonne of comments and even conversations happening.

Right?? I mean, I have nothing against people chatting it away on Discord. I have a few windows active there anyway, but the support can be visibly seen through the comments. Even though people feel they've done enough by voting, the post seems dead without any discussions going on in it. After all, Steemit/Busy is where the support should be happening and not on Discord.

I see some posts that have a lot of votes, a few views and no comments. I look forward to the day when the Steemit reward system is more reflective of views and comments. because that is the lifeblood of this place.

You and me both. I feel like votes are a bit superficial, what with the autovoting going on, and a lot of people abusing those systems. Views and comments are more transparent and honest. I feel those really show posts that are truly active.
