[Translation][Spanish] Node.js (1049 words) (Part 14)
Node.js's Github Repository
Project Details
Node.js is an open-source, cross-platform JavaScript run-time environment that executes JavaScript code outside the browser.
Node.js brings event-driven programming to web servers, enabling development of fast web servers in JavaScript. Developers can create highly scalable servers without using threading, by using a simplified model of event-driven programming that uses callbacks to signal the completion of a task. Node.js connects the ease of a scripting language (JavaScript) with the power of Unix network programming.
Contribution Specifications
Node.js is currently being translated into 33 languages. I´m contributing to making this project accessible to the Spanish speaking community online.
Translation Overview
The terminology of the text translated is mostly related to computer science and programming.
In this part of my contribution for Node.js, I continued translating the fs.md folder, as shown in the following images:
Words translated on my previous contribution, on fs.md
Words translated on this contribution, on fs.md
In this contribution, I translated an approximate amount of 1000 clean words on fs.md.
These are the concepts and words I've learned so far while working on Node.js:
Callback, Addon, Compile, Array, POSIX, Hook, Instance, API, Resource, Promise, Embedder, Exception, Stream, String, Method, Class, Recursion, Handler, Listener, Padding, Flag, Integer, Appending, Polling, Timestamp, Truncation.
These are the concepts I learned while working on this contribution for Node.js:
1 . Kernel
The kernel is a computer program that is the core of a computer's operating system, with complete control over everything in the system.
2 . Symbolic Link
In computing, a symbolic link (also symlink or soft link) is a term for any file that contains a reference to another file or directory in the form of an absolute or relative path and that affects pathname resolution.
3 . Unix Epoch Time
Unix time (also known as POSIX time[citation needed] or UNIX Epoch time) is a system for describing a point in time, defined as an approximation of the number of seconds that have elapsed since 00:00:00 Coordinated Universal Time (UTC), Thursday, 1 January 1970.
Languages
The project's source language is English and it was translated into Spanish.
Besides collaborating as a translator for Open Source Projects on Crowdin I also work as a Freelance Translator for a law firm in the US, I've been working for that company for 9 months, translating sworn statements and legal documents from English to Spanish and viceversa.
Open Source Projects I've worked on and contributed as a translator:

Word Count
Part 14: 1049.
Total of words translated so far: 14991.
