Node.js is currently being translated into 33 languages. I´m contributing to making this project accessible to the Spanish speaking community online.
The terminology of the text translated is mostly related to computer science and programming.
In this part of my contribution for Node.js, I continued translating the fs.md folder, as shown in the following images:
Words translated on my previous contribution, on fs.md
Words translated on this contribution, on fs.md
In this contribution, I translated an approximate amount of 1025 clean words on fs.md.
These are the concepts and words I've learned so far while working on Node.js:
Callback, Addon, Compile, Array, POSIX, Hook, Instance, API, Resource, Promise, Embedder, Exception, Stream, String, Method, Class, Recursion, Handler, Listener, Padding, Flag, Integer, Appending.
These are the concepts I learned while working on this contribution for Node.js:
1 . Polling
Polling is the process where the computer or controlling device waits for an external device to check for its readiness or state, often with low-level hardware.
2 . Timestamp
A timestamp is the current time of an event that is recorded by a computer. Through mechanisms such as the Network Time Protocol (NTP).
3 . Truncation
To truncate is to shorten by cutting off. In computer terms, when information is truncated, it is ended abruptly at a certain spot.
The project's source language is English and it was translated into Spanish.
Besides collaborating as a translator for Open Source Projects on Crowdin I also work as a Freelance Translator for a law firm in the US, I've been working for that company for 9 months, translating sworn statements and legal documents from English to Spanish and viceversa.
Open Source Projects I've worked on and contributed as a translator:
5 . Node.js
Part 13: 1085.
Total of words translated so far: 13942.
