Project Details

JabRef is an open source bibliography reference manager. The native file format used by JabRef is BibTeX, the standard LaTeX bibliography format. JabRef is a desktop application and runs on the Java VM (version 8), and works equally well on Windows, Linux, and Mac OS X.

Contribution

This is already my fifth contribution to the JabRef project. At this phase of the translation, I'm seeing more and more terms or sentences that I'm not familiar with. Luckily I can ask my boyfriend (who is an IT-specialist for many years) to explain those terms to me when he's at home. And otherwise, I can ask the help of my LM or the other team members. It means that at this point, I'm learning new things and that's quite nice. I'm sure some new things I'm learning will be of help while translating future projects.

Word count

The project is almost completely translated to Dutch, although there probably will be some older translations that are quite "off" that need to be reconsidered too. I will translate the last part of the project when my LM @misslasvegas had the chance to examine those words and decides what the best approach will be in this matter.

This part of the translation contains 1001 words:

Hey @anouk.nox, thank you for your contribution to the translation project for Davinci-Utopian!

The JabRef project is coming to an end, and the project manager gave us the green light to go through the material again and fix earlier translations, as they were mostly google translate quick fixes. We'll have to say good-bye to the project then, but I believe you've already found the next one to work on.

This time around, there were a few errors, but nothing major. We always go through any of the sentences with mistakes, discuss it and fix where needed. I believe it was 2 words, but used a couple of times, so I count that as 2. Certainly not bad for someone who has no prior experience as a translator.

Keep the good work up!

Good to read that the manager gave the green light to go through those former translations, as it will improve the translation.

Thank you @misslasvegas for your feedback, as always.

Thank you for your review, @misslasvegas! Keep up the good work!
