California's Great America - Theme Park series (1) / 大美洲主題樂園 - 主題樂園系列 (一)

We visited 3 theme parks in our California trip. The first one was closest to where we lived - California's Great America. Opened at 1976 by the hotel group Marriott, it was then purchased by Santa Clara government, then Paramount, then most recently Cedar Fair.

這次加州之旅，我們一共去過三個主題樂園。其中最接近我們住所的是加州大美洲主題樂園。在1976年啓用，這個由萬豪集團建立的主題樂園，先後被聖塔克拉拉市政府，派拉蒙，和Cedar Fair公司所收購。

We went there after one of the girls' Gymnastics camp classes. When we arrived, I saw the latest promotion which was quite attractive. Normally one day pass cost just half of a Season Pass! Later on, I found out the truth! Due to some unknown reasons, prices of One Day Passes were raised to same as Season Pass! No wonder there was free upgrades. So we upgraded ours as well.

就在女兒們完成其一天的體操班之後，我們就到這裏。甫到埗就發現一個極之吸引的優惠，一天入場票可以免費昇級做年票！要知一天入場票只是年票的一半價錢呀！後來我們才發現真相。原來當時一天入場票的價錢不知為何被加價至和年票一樣！難怪可以免費昇級，因為價錢根本是一樣。所以我們當然是昇級了。

Shortly after we entered, we went for an indoor show as we needed to cool down ourselves.

因為實在是太熱的關係，我們進場不久就跑去觀賞了一個室內的表演。

We then went to the Boomerang Bay, which is the popular water park there. First atteaction to enjoy was the Great Barrier Reef Wave pool.

看過表演之後，大伙兒就要到水上樂園的人造浪池玩水去。

Then other water facilities.

當然還有其他的水上機動遊戲。

Boomerang Bay closed at 18:00. We got changed then had some food before enjoying other rides.

水上樂園在黃昏6時關門。我們更衣過後就食些東西，再去玩其他機動遊戲。

There was Planet Snoopy in the middle of this theme park.

這裏中央地區還有史露比主題區。

We didn't have enough time to enjoy all the rides there that day, so we went there again and again. Afterall, we had Season Pass paid, right?

因為時間所限，我們不能玩盡所有設施。所以我們之後再回去玩過兩，三次。有年票在手就是要盡量使用嘛。

When we left that evening, there was a CONCACAF Gold Cup soccer match at the Levis Stadium right next to the theme park. That's why parking lot was kind of a mess.

當晚原來有一場美洲金杯足球賽在隔壁的Levis球場進行。所以我們離開之時，停車場是混亂一片的。

Although it is not operated by big entertaiment groups, its facilities, infrastructure (full wifi coverage and mobile apps support) and prices still make it a good place to go with family and friends.
