Adobe Field Trip 2017 / Adobe 家庭日 2017

Today, we are invited by my friend to join Field Trip held by the company she is working for, Adobe. This is an annual, half-day event of Adobe for its employees and families. Today, we become my friend's family members visiting from Hong Kong. In order to attend this special event, we decided to skip the last gymnastics lesson of my daughters' 2nd summer camp.

朋友公司一年一度的家庭日剛巧就在今天，所以朋友邀請我們一家去參加。所以我們今天就化身成為朋友由香港到來探親的親戚。為了參加這個特別的活動，我們決定不上女兒們的最後一課體操班。

We arrived around 9:00am when the event was just about to start. While waiting for my friend to pick us up, I took a few snapshots.

我們大約在早上9時到達，剛好在活動開始之前。我趁朋友接我們之前，隨意拍照。

Our first stop was the "Create" studio. According to my friend, it is very popular, usually need to wait for longtime. Therefore, we went there at once before a queue was built-up. What's special about this studio? Watch by yourself.

We then walked to the main event venue, this thing is everywhere...

我們接著走向活動場地。途中不斷見到它...

What's about this tag? It is the theme of today! My friend told me if we upload photos to Instagram with this #adobelife tag, the photos would be printed! Wow... free printed photos! That's why people were sending tons of photos of this event to Instagram, including myself, who had only uploaded 2 photos so far before today!

這個tag有什麼特別呢？ 它就是今天的主題呀！而且今天只要把相片上傳到Instagram,加上這個#adobelife tag, 就會有人免費把照片把印出來。有免費相片嘛，大家當然上傳得不亦樂孚。連我這個極少用Instagram的人亦不停的做着。

不忘STEEM!

After we arrived, we go out to the enjoy some activities arranged out-door, while the weather was so nice!

天氣不錯，所以我們先由戶外活動開始。

After the outdoor activities, we continued the fun in door. Most of the activities were for kids, hope of our world. A lot of them were science related, looked like Adobe was trying to inspire the kids more towards science than art.

一輪活動之後，我們回歸室內。大部分的活動都是有關科學的。可能Adobe想培育青少年對科學的興趣。

While most of the activities were for kids, I found one that I would enjoy as well. With this one, I created something with Steem in mind. I first designed and drew a picture. It would then be captured by an iPad and sent to a workstation (basically was a MacBook). In the workstation, I could do some final touch of the picture and export it as a png file. Final, this picture will then be laser-engraved on a piece of wooden key chain. Due to extremely high demand, my key chain could not be completed today, it would be sent to my friend later when it is completed.

基本上今天的活動差不多都是為了兒童而設，就只有這個做木製鎖匙扣的活動是連我都能參與的。做法是先在白紙上設計和畫好圖樣。再用iPad把圖樣拍照，傳送到一部工作站(其實只是一部MacBook). 在工作站上面做過最後的修改，就可用激光把設計刻在林鎖匙扣上。見到我的設計上的STEEM圖案嗎？ 可惜因為太多人喜歡的關係，我的鎖匙扣今天完成不了。要遲些才能送到我朋友手中。

Feeling hungry and thirsty? No worry, there were free flow of snacks and drinks.

飲料和小食都是源源不絕的供應，不會覺得餓的。

There is a free Python Coding class, too bad that I am not qualified and my daughter was not interested.

今早還有免費的Python 篇程課，可惜我大女兒不喜歡，我亦已經超齡了。

At around noon time, lunch was served at the garden. People were gathering there, enjoying the food and shows.

快到午餐時間，大會在外邊的花園提供午餐。人群開始在那邊聚集。除了食物，還有不同的表演。

After lunch, my friend showed us around Adobe office. I could only share some of the photos I took as the others were kind of sensitive.

食過午餐，朋友帶我們參觀Adobe辦公室。因為比較敏感，所以只可以分享這幾張相片。

Before, we left, we stopped briefly at Adobe company store, then we called it a day!

最後我們在Adobe商店看了一會才離，完成今日的特別行程。
