Gymnastics Camp / 體操興趣班
Second summer camp for the girls was gymnastics camp, again it was from Mon. to Fri. Because of the Adobe Field Trip day, we couldn't attend last day of this camp.
女兒們的第二個暑期興趣班是體操班。同樣是星期一至五的。不過因為我們要參與Adobe家庭日, 所以她們不能上最後一天的課。
Gymnastics is very common in the States, lots of kids practice gymnastics. Many kids like my friends' daughter can do moves like Leg splite, Cartwheel, etc. That's why U.S. was once very strong gymnastics country.
在美國，體操是很盛行的，有不少孩子都參與體操訓練。我眼見很多美國小孩都會做一些體操動作，好像一字馬和側手翻，我朋友的女兒就是一個好例子。難怪美國曾經是國際體操強國。
The camp we joined so happened to be at the closest gymnastics club. It seems to have a strong team.
剛巧我們參加的體操班就在附近的一所體操會上課。看起來它的師資很不俗。
Somehow this club also had its own bright history. There was a Olympic gold medalist started her gymnastics training at this small club.
仔細一看，原來這體操會曾經出個一名奧運會金牌選手。輝煌一時呀！
Starting at 9:00 in the morning, the girls looked a little bit tired.
因為是早上9時開始的緣故，小女孩們都是一臉睡意。
While waiting, I realized most of kids had their own gymnastics leotards. My daughters didn't, although those might only be weared for few days, we decided to buy their own instead of borrowing from my friends. Luckily, this club has its own session selling leotards.
在等待的期間，我發現大部分的小朋友都穿著體操服。我兩名女兒都沒有自己的體操服，她們都是穿著朋友女兒的舊衣。就算是只穿幾天也好，我們還是決定替她們買體操服。幸好這裏有體操服可供選購。
In those 4 days, the girls together with othe kids enjoyed the half day camp a lot.
女兒們將會在4天裏跟其他小孩子們一起受訓。
At the end of each day, instructors asked the kids to write down what they had learnd or liked for that day, which was a very good thing to do, IMHO.
每天放學前，導師會要求孩子們寫下當天所學或是喜歡的事情。我覺得是一個不錯的做法。
Again after the camp, I asked my daughter how they felt about it, this time, they both said :"I like it very much!". Sounds like I need to put them in similar classes in Hong Kong.
今次我亦有問她們喜歡這興趣班與否，而這次我得到的，是一個正面的回覆：「很喜歡呀！」 似乎我應該為她們在香港報名參加體操班呀！
This also conclued the first 2 summer camps in America of the girls. I wish they can have more in future, I also hope you enjoy them!
這就是兩名女兒在美國所參與的暑期興趣班。我希望有能力讓她們參與更多類似的暑假班。亦希望你們喜歡這些分享。
