Chapter 12: Cameron & Catherine
They sat in an old, quiet 24 hour diner which was right down the road from their motel. It was 4:30 am and Catherine was busy explaining to Cameron more about The Faceless Man and her visions.
“The building I saw them carry Stella past is not far from where they are” Catherine said. “I’ve seen that from the top of that building, I will have a clear line of sight from where I can take him out.”
“Ok Catherine, so you said I’ll be right there by him when this happens?”
“Yes. Now remember, he can’t control your mind and I’ll be out of his reach from that vantage point. I fire the shot then but I don’t see the bullet actually penetrating him… I do however see him dying. I see it in his eyes so whether it’s my shot or something else that happens, I can’t tell.”
“Well Catherine, it still doesn’t quite answer my question. What about Stella? When do we find Stella?”
“I don’t know Cameron. Like I’ve said, I managed to catch a glimpse of her and she’s alive.” Catherine managed to see this when someone opened the door to her ‘cell’ in order to put the medicine down. “I know we’ll find her Cameron.”
“You keep saying that but you haven’t seen it” Cameron said seething.
“Yes Cameron, I know I haven’t seen it but I know we will. Look, tomorrow night we will destroy him and then all those he controls will be set free. I know you really want to find Stella but we need to stop his madness. Tomorrow is the only time we’ll be able to do it and it will be done. I promise you, after that we’ll find Stella” Catherine gave off a little smile. The second smile Cameron has ever seen her give.
Two police officers came walking into the diner and ordered some coffee from the waitress. The one looked over to their table and whispered to his partner who nonchalantly looked over towards them.
“Good morning” the officer said to Catherine “Early start to the day?” he asked.
Cameron looked around towards the officers so nothing looks out of the ordinary.
“Good morning” Cameron said. “Good morning” Catherine said as well. “Yes, we all have our jobs we need to do.”
“Indeed” replied the officer. “Well, you folks be safe out there. This is a rough part of town especially so early in the morning.”
“Certainly officer” she replied. “Thank you for the warning.”
With that the police officers walked out of the diner and the one officer gave them one last good looking at.
“I think they somehow know who we are” Catherine said.
“You’re right” Cameron stated bluntly. “We’ll have to get out of here.”
As they got up to leave they saw the two officers speaking to another officer in a patrol car next to theirs. They were parked right in front of the diner’s entrance. He was busy on the radio and Cameron knew he was calling it in. The third officer climbed out of the vehicle, drew his firearm and spoke to the other two who followed suit. The three of them started making their way towards the diner door all the while discussing how they’re going to approach the potential felons.

Hehe, yeah, I guess so and suppose I need to in a way to keep you guys checking in :):) I'm considering doing longer chapters however I'm not too sure. The point of that will be to add more information into a chapter or else I might end up with 100 chapters, lol. I don't quite know myself. The story is in my head however as I write the detail surrounding it develops. Hmmm... what to do ;) Thanks for your consistent support! I really appreciate it :)
