@steemkitchen will choose 5 recipes from our community using the steemkitchen tag each week and feature in our weekly "Picks of the week" post.

This feature is to encourage our users to improve on their content and recipe posts and to have an incentive to produce the best recipe collection from across the world in one place.

This feature will also in time stand as a benchmark and example for all the users of SteemKitchen to aspire to.

Here follows our latest edition of recipes:

I love food, from all parts of the world. When I taste something I like, the first thing that comes to my mind is, How can I make this at home? One of these foods is called a pupusa. It basically is a stuffed corn tortilla. I remember the first time I ate one, a Salvadorean friend had invited me over and she served me a pupusa. It was a lot thicker than a regular tortilla and it was filled with meat and cheese. She served it with a pickled cabbage salad called curtido. It was delicious, and right away I asked her how to make them. This was a few years ago, and I have made these pupusas many times now. The recipe is not completely traditional, but the concept is the same.

Hello there!

If you have followed my posts in Steemit, you already know that I really enjoy cooking with @furious-one.

Somebody brought us some zucchinis, it means we should cook something new. Excellent!
We love to try new things. We have never used zucchini in our foods so far. So, let's try!

I love doing this job of preservation of vegetables and fruits, they are of great benefits to health because they keep the properties when are homemade apart from the fact that I don´t need to use additive to preserve the food.
Salt, oil, sugar and vinegar with the apropiate techniques are enough elements to preserve food.

If you don´t know how to sterilized used tars go to @ladyfont Preserving food for difficult times - Conservando alimentos para tiempos dificiles

This time I am going to preserve beetroots in a sirup made with orange juice, but you can use pineapple juice too.

My grandmother taught me to cook from the time I was old enough to understand, and this was one of the first thing she let me help with when I was younger. This hot chocolate recipe was a must-have at every Thanksgiving and Christmas my family had, and I was in charge of it for many years before I moved away. Now I just like to make it when the weather turns cold because it keeps pretty well for a few days in the fridge once it's made and all it takes is heating it up to enjoy the deliciousness
