@steemkitchen will choose 5 recipes from our community using the steemkitchen tag each week and feature in our weekly "Picks of the week" post.

This feature is to encourage our users to improve on their content and recipe posts and to have an incentive to produce the best recipe collection from across the world in one place.

This feature will also in time stand as a benchmark and example for all the users of SteemKitchen to aspire to.

Here follows our latest edition of recipes:

  1. Our first featured post is by @joyrobinson.

Hello Food lovers Steemians.
What’s your first impression when you heard the words homemade, marinated and slow roast? Homemade is simply the best specially when it comes to meat recipes like lambs. For the past three years here in where we live, out of all the best Steak & Grill restaurants where we dine out and ordered lamb shoulder, there’s this only one restaurant who served the best lamb but it’s a bit far from us. The third time and was also the last time we dine there was Valentines day.

Today I arrived at home and my wife asked me to cook, she got the ingredients for a tortilla pie. It's a pie with tortilla stuffing and wraps. A delicious meal. You need a pie-spring for it. @Bozz gave me the idea to put this on @Steemkitchen when I was reading his Camping dishes... So I gave it a try :)

  1. Our third recipe is by @avizor.

There are many anecdotes about the name "Hot Dog". In any case, the "hot dog" came from "Good old Germany".

The hot dog consists of a warm boiled sausage in a long, and usually soft wheat bun, which was usually toasted.

Peach pie never seems to last very long, it literally flies off the shelf. Today on Cooking with Crypticat, I'll explain how to prepare a peach pie. It isn't the easiest pie to make and it's not something we do often, peach pie is an exceptional treat!

  1. Our fifth and last recipe for this week is by @anggreklestari.

Stir Fried with "sambal terasi" (chili shrimp paste) is a typical Indonesian dish that is very popular especially families who live in rural areas who easily grow water spinach vegetables in their own garden.

Tonight I feel like cooking these vegetables because I really miss the touch of my memories with my mother.
