Part TWENTYONE: Working For Yourself

Last session, I covered getting a presence online for your Photography Business.
I recognize, your type of photography, and focus, will greatly influence how and where you choose to market yourself. Being a Wedding or Portrait photographer is different from being a landscape and wildlife photographer. And Selling online can also influence your choice of hosting service. One thing that can be true of all photographers, though, is the need for ongoing professional development.

Let's look at some resources, here on Steemit and on Discord, for photographers.

First off, my personal choice for best places to start is World Of Photography, on Discord.
In the interest of disclosure, I am one of the Admin moderators there.

@JulianK started the World Of Photography Discord server, and he is well known on Steemit for his ongoing series of Daily Challenges:

Monday: foodphotography and animalphotography

Friday: streetphotography and portraitphotography

On the Discord, there are daily discussions about the challenge of the day, there's a place for Photography 101 tips. There is a place for Serious Photographers, and for the beginner as well. World Of Photography, and @juliank also run the Steemit Account and Tag @photocontests.

The Color Challenge photo challenge started by @kalemandra is the first photo challenge I participated in. These challenges are great ways to see other amazing photographers and also, a good way to push yourself, to meet a task, and to grow.
