What states (in the United States) shall we explore having meetups and gatherings in? Steem Park in NY will also be hosting a meetup.

With SteemFest in a few months and some meetups being discussed along with having attending my first one I have recently developed an interest in exploring the idea of attending and helping with more and wanted to see where people may be more interested or more prepared for such.

Steemit Meetup in Austin, TX by @richardcrill

The main reason for this Meetup Group will be for Steemians to come together in real life to talk about Steemit and Steem related projects. I imagine that this group could be a lot of fun and be a place for local Steemians to meet each other in person.

He has already found about a dozen people on steemit and mentioned them in his post to let them know.

What is STEEM Park?

“STEEM Park” is an interactive community garden in the heart of Brooklyn, New York. Located within the historic Herbert von King Park: STEEM Park is a pop-up installation that will be used to host Steemit meetups, local community events, workshops and dozens of activities throughout the year.

Some of us may look forward to a meetup at Steem Park in New York or visit anytime as it will be a place for many events to come. Look forward to visiting sometime perhaps during on of the initial gatherings depending on my schedule. Super excited to report back on the huge gains of today with STEEM Park. We were contacted a few days ago by a friend who works at BrightView Landscape, one of the largest landscape development companies on the east coast, with news that they would be re-planting the gardens for one their clients - the historic Jacob Javits Center of New York City!

Today we are happy to announce the first crowdsourced marketing project Steemit Inc. will be officially supporting! For the past few months we have been conducting our due diligence and conferring with the various people working on marketing projects. Lots of great people are working on lots of great things, but the project we have selected has the right combination of ambition, support, and return-on-investment. It’s also going live very soon.

And the Winner is: STEEM PARK

The project Steemit will be supporting was proposed by the users @voronoi and @hansikhouse, two co-founders of the collective @hitheryon. That’s right, Steem Park is now OFFICIAL!
