Some Steem Stats!

in steem •  last year

The most empowering cryptocurrencies stats you'll read all day. Steem has gone up more than 1500% in the last 2 months. To begin, I'll repost what I posted in one of my previous post but with the newest stats.

N.B. The total value of all cryptocurrencies (market cap) as of today is roughly $70B. This makes cryptocurrencies market cap the top ~117 biggest public companies in the world. Bitcoin represents ~50% of this value. Bitcoin price have gone up approximatively 379,900% since January 2011. Yes, 1,000$ of Bitcoin back then is now worth $3.8M. Play it smart. Take some time to learn about Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies which are the best performing currencies/technologies in the world today. (For more interesting thoughts on Bitcoin see my sub-chapter named Bitcoin)

Cryptocurrencies Total Market Cap

At the current growth rate cryptocurrencies would overtake Apple's market cap of $586B in less than 6 months. (Is my math correct? Also some might want to remove Ripple from cryptocurrencies but I think the result would still be 6 months)

The Power Of Steem Power

Whenever the price of Steem rise, the content reward pool grow. This entice a growing number of people to post for the rewards. This also entice people to read the most rewarded content to give them an idea as to what their posts should be about and also has the effect of enticing people to keep their Steem instead of selling them.

The Attention Economy (Or The Economy)

When we want to influence ourselves or other we need their attention thus everyone wants your attention. What we are individually experiencing is our conscious attention and where we put our attention directly define who we become and the society we live in.

*"Whatever we put our attention on will grow stronger in our life." Maharishi Mahesh Yogi

Interesting Investment

Everything I've mentioned so far and in my previous articles make Steem seems to be in a position to become the most enjoyable and valuable information hub/governance tool/P2P banking thing there is and this makes it pretty interesting investment.

I've gone into much more detail about what I mentioned above in my article "Steem: The Most Enjoyable Governance Tool Ever Devised" and I recommend everyone who's enjoying the current article to give this article a chance but the fact remains, the Steem prices are rising because multiple persons are competing to buy them.

The larger the % of Steem someone owns, the larger its influence on who receive the content reward, witness reward and who decides of the new Steem implementations or hardfork.

Steem Are Minded Into Existence

Steem aren't mined into existence like most cryptocurrencies are but are minded into existence.

The power of a couple thousands of human brain can do a lot more calculation than all the computer ever manufactured with a lot more effeciency.

What is mined by computers can only be a subset of what humans mind while on Steem what is value or mind are the human minds.

Steem Shopping

First, one the reasons why Steem are accumulating on the exchanges is because the majority of the buyers want to let others entertain some doubt as to whether they are buying for the long term or not. They haven't finish their Steem shopping and if those people would move their Steem out of the exchanges and power up this would signal they are in for the long term. This would give a certain advantage for other would be investors which is what current buyers don't want. It's my theory at least.

Risks VS Benefits

There's a lot of place for Steem price to grow. At first people can't understand why the post rewards are what seem incomprehensively high and this is in part because of what is mentioned in this article. These aren't just reward, they are part of the distribution shares of what is one of the most revolutionary [decentralized] company.

Also people need to understand, the more someone risks in Steem, holding large amount of Steem, the larger their advantage is when they post, due in part to some people who will vote for them in the hope of influencing their future actions in their favor. I think it was @surpassinggoogle who somehow called it mining your stake which I thought was very clever.

Growing Interest!

The highest 24h volume trading reach $32M on May 9. The Steem price was $1,25 that day and is currently ~$1,28. This and all of the charts above signal a clear excitement coming from investors in regard to Steem.

Steem Is Rising!

There was a hiccup in the Steem account creation a couple days ago. This explain the anomaly.

The lower this number the better the rank is. Therefore a falling line on the chart below is good. (Google, YouTube, Facebook are #1, #2, #3 respectively.)

Steem Technology Is Impressive!

Some Steem Specs

  • Steem as 0 transaction fees, can achieve +180,000 transactions a second and it's ex-CTO Dan Larimer have talked about possible Graphene based blockchain achieving millions while Bitcoin is currently stuck below 3-7 transactions a seconds, Ethereum 50**.
  • Steem transaction takes 3 seconds to be confirmed while Bitcoin transactions are supposed to take around 40 minutes.
  • Groundbreaking recovery account feature which no other cryptocurrency has implemented. This is super important. If someone has their Steem password compromised most of their Steem Power will be secure for weeks while for all other cryptocurrency this means many millions of dollars are at risk if just a single password gets compromised. There is literally no way to secure password 100% of the time.
  • Steem ease of use is in a class of its own in the cryptocurrency space.

There are many other interesting features Steem has over Bitcoin and the other cryptocurrencies. One of them being how Steem updates get through. (See: What Are Steem Witness?)

For more see: "Steem: An In-Depth Overview!"

*It could be argued that a very small part of the witness reward which is currently at ~1% be considered a sort of transaction fee because the witnesses servers needed to compute the Steem operations needs to be paid but this doesn't in anyway translate in transaction fees per say.

**I'd love to have the official link for Bitcoin and Ethereum and also a table of the top 20 cryptocurrencies with their transaction per second count.

Steem Back Dollars Theory

One other interesting theory I thought of is about the overpriced Steem Back Dollars. Maybe the current bullish investors have brought out the price of Steem Back Dollar so that people are tempted to sell their SBD. They then hope these people don't buy back Steem right away and thus will in the long run make those Steem investors end up with a bigger part of total Steem supply.

Well-known Cryptocurrency Investors

Also, if the current wave of Steem investors are well-known cryptocurrency enthusiasm or just well-known investors then this is further reasons not to power up just yet. They wouldn't have tried to make a lot of money posting on Steemit either for the exact same reasons. They wouldn't want to reveal their game too much.

I don't think there is one Bitcoin millionaire in their right mind who hasn't investigate Steem and haven't ponder on its economy and wider implications. Heck, I love to think most of them are probably keeping a close eye on it and thus might have end up reading some of my previous posts.

Money!

I wouldn't be surprise to see the price of Steem go up by many magnitude in the next months but I would be really surprise to see it go down substantially due to everything discuss in this article.

One reason which could make Steem price go down is a competing technology but Steem would still have the advantage of having a bigger network of users.

One other reason would be a major bug in its code but with the persons having the most knowledge about the Steem code having the most to lose and so much to gain from its success and knowing about the rest of the cryptocurrency history in its ensemble makes me pretty confident in my conviction Steem is one of the best investment in the world today and possibly the best one.

It Goes Beyond Money!

People die because of lack of money or while others as @rok-sivante has put it: "enslaving themselves to serve systems designed to maximize the numbers of intangible monopoly money in some computer database."

I do care about money. Anyone saying they don't care about money is fooling themselves. Even if they didn't use any money and didn't care about what it can bring them, the very life of billions of people are currently very much affected by it and its nature.

I've gone into more details about this in my article "Steem: The Most Enjoyable Governance Tool Ever Devised!" and all throughout my book "The Ultimate Steem Book".

Understanding Money

"The goal [of money and trade] is to move physical resources to the highest purpose the most efficiently." Dan Larimer

In a series of 4 posts Dan mentioned here @dantheman argues that basic income is a necessary precondition for securing life, liberty, and property in an increasingly automated industrial society. He then goes on to describe a universal basic income model without taxation, inflation and respecting property rights.

One of the most interesting idea he puts out in these series is the idea that as society and technology advance people can produce more than they use to with less effort. To give an example multiple acres of blueberries can be harvested with only a couple of persons and giant robotic harvesters.

This means there should be more valuable resources for everyone for a smaller total effort. If the currency supply is stable this means a given amount of money should be able to pay for more resources as time passes.

Securing Life And Liberty!

While we're trying to secure a little bit more money/life and liberty for ourselves some people are literally starving to death. The more money we own, the farther away we are from starving to death. Starving to death. Any mentions of the most abject and ongoing suffering in the world today is enough to make us squirm with some of the most displeasing thoughts and feeling. Yet, we shouldn't be ignoring our interconnectivity with everything and everyone. We can't. We need to face the facts.

"We can ignore reality, but we cannot ignore the consequences of ignoring reality." Ayn Rand

The accumulation of wealth is not an end in itself but a mean to more honorable ones. Now, like almost everyone I am very aware of money's multiple influence on all of us and the power it represent for those of us who have the power to create it out of thin air. It's a reality most people haven't given must thoughts but some people [institutions] have the weird super power of being allowed to conjure up money out of nothing.

Making Steem Profit

Any Steem price rise lead to both posting reward and investment money to go up thus as long as the price rise no amount of posting can compete with investing money into Steem. This is one of the reasons why people should try to better understand Steem and see if they are willing to invest. I'm glad I did invest some of my time and risk some Steem money in the past year to be where I am today. It paid well up to now.

Check out "Steemit.com Set To Become The World's Most Popular Website" for more of some my thoughts on the Steem price and Steem potential.

Steem On!

Currently $41M (~14%) of Steem are being held on exchanges. The 24h trading volume of the last 2-3 months seems to indicate Steem are going into stronger hands. This true even though most Steem aren't being powered up yet and there's also indications the current buyers are mostly totally new investors. This $41M would be enough to create the top 4 whales accounts.

We don't know what these new investors will be voting on and how much more of the Steem pie they plan on grabbing but one thing is sure for me, I'll be continuing Steeming as long as it bring value, Joy and Peace in my life!

hey TeamSteem!! Thanks for the great article, it was definitely fascinating. There's one portion that I feel compelled to speak to.

I think it's worth noting that looking back historically the opposite has been true thus far. The amount and intensity of social stratification has actually increased since the beginning of the industrial revolution, and it's increased a lot. The idea that improved technological power means more of the proverbial pie for everyone simply doesn't match up. Could it someday? Sure. But I think it's really important give a sober look at this that story, who is using it, and where it's come from.

·

I'm glad you liked it.

I agree with you 100%. Stratification has increase and the improved technological power hasn't translated into more of the proverbial pie for everyone.

We produce more with less effort but only the top of the pyramid benefit under the current systems. Let's work toward new paradigms.

Nice analysis. I wonder how much time you would spend on your research to bring us so detailed and informative articles...

·

Good question. I rarely spend less than 10 hours on a post and have spend close to 20 hours on some. I don't really count though. The current one is particularly a blur but even though I feel like it was a breeze and didn't took as long as most other I don't see how it could have taken less than 10 hours. Again, that one I'm not sure.

It's not much the research part that is taking me a lot of time. The research part has been done in seconds so to speak as I look at all this on a "daily" and have it bookmark or noted somewhere somehow.

The article linked below took me particularly long. After writing and pondering on everything and nothing for more than 12 hours I left everything down for around 3-4 days and thought I might not even use any of what I wrote at all. I thought it was going nowhere. ( I did wrote for 10 hours in the pass and end up not publishing any of what I wrote.)

Anyway, after those 3 to 4 days and a lot of reworking around 8 hours I end up being pretty satisfied with what I wrote. It's a shorter post than what I usually post and it's not necessarily the writing that is long. My writing is pretty dubious but nonetheless it express something profound or at less I hope so. More time is spent pondering and writing about my pondering. Through this long iterative process I get to some "truths" but in the end I very much love it all.

I'll be building on it for future post. So that's one of the reason why I spend so much time on my posts. My posts build one upon an another. They also need to captivate the attention and be able to compete with funny cat video, balls in the crutch video and those kind of stuff.

Steem: The Most Enjoyable Governance Tool Ever Devised!

·
·

I have to say this was one of the most well written, well explained and most likely situations (STEEM going up exponentially) that I have read and believed nearly every part of. I think the transaction times are going to be a HUGE deal and the ability to "Mind" rather than "Mine" this crypto in my opinion will be the biggest disruptive of the, likely, second wave cryptocurrency paradigm shift into the third, where people know what it is, and are using CC's other than Bitcoin to do transactions, and businesses and exchanges are accepting and trading STEEM as well as other Crypto's more often and more pervasively as USD and other fiat currencies experience lost faith in this globalizing world.

I think the power of making your money by posting blogs people want to see is most probably, and yes I am going out on a limb, the most powerful idea in the ENTIRE INTERNET right now and in the foreseeable future. With so many YouTube Channels not being able to do what they do and with Censorship becoming more and more pervasive I believe another, powerful, platform will take its place and through a confluence of events and features I believe STEEMIT.com and STEEM, SD and STEEM POWER will be very, very important, becoming a household name and those of us here, now will be kicking ourselves we didn't bet the farm. But in not betting the farm, focusing on creating content, getting followers, increasing your reputation and making money where you can free right now is, in my mind, the biggest opportunity WE as STEEMIANS are likely to see now into the 2020's. I truly believe my post which make between $0.01 and $4 will become more valuable and nothing makes me happier than seeing FOLLOW in my notifications.

The more time (as you have put in) WILL pay off and this is something I am confident about. I think there will be waves of newcomers coming in and trying to take their piece of the pie and that is why i believe the "Early Adopters" should be FOLLOWed, UPVOTED and REPOSTED more, as we are the true drivers behind the price increases. We have created a ton of content that is truly valuable and I think, I know we will be laughing come 2019 when our transactions are going through so fast Discover and MasterCard will be replaced by STEEM debit cards with on the fly currency exchange rates and Ultra-Low transaction fees (close to nothing). But again it is the ability to make something not from nothing, but from these hands working for this brain, and gaining and maintaining the support of others who share our beliefs. I think this is a once in a lifetime opportunity and we should all be very, very happy to have come across STEEMIT.com in our lives, especially at this time. Guard your reputation with your life, this is not a pump and dump Crypto, there is so much to offer taking money out entirely that STEEMIT will be a household name sometime soon.

Kids will have paid for their College Degrees from blogging here, the Community will have donated to worthy causes taking STEEM (hehe) from GroupOn and whether I make a fiver or a penny I will continue to post, upvote, follow and buy in because opportunities to get into technology like this happen once or twice in a lifetime and the internet is going no where. Time is money and STEEMIT pays should you inspire people to UPVOTE and FOLLOW you. Let's make ourselves wealthy and not kick ourselves for not putting in the time today to have the wealth down the road in what ai think will be the next big thing on the Global Internet, the Craigslist of ideas, the anonymous Facebook, the Instagram killer, the Twitter destroyer. We need only the content, videos, the apps and devices to support it [Roku, Shield TV (Android TV), Apple TV, iOS, Android, Windows 10, MacOS, etc.) like YouTube, and we will be truly, sitting on the moon having gotten there with old-fashioned hard work and STEEM POWER!!! STEEM-ON my fellow STEEMIANS!!! UPVOTE, FOLLOW and REPLY. This is how we make ourselves the keepers of the light and winners in this brace but skeptical, new world. God bless and good luck to all!

·

BTW voted for you as a WITNESS. Good luck and great content. You will be a whale for which I will be jealous of :) And proud of

·

Awesome comment. I really enjoyed reading it. Thank you for approving my witness. It's really appreciated. I'll look through your blog more tomorrow.

More power to steem :)

·
·
·

You could have shared this as your next story!!!!

·
·
·
·

It's true. It might have done a great post. I have so many ideas. It's not the ideas that are missing it's mostly time due to having a 40h/week job. I might be able to drop it soon...

·
·
·
·
·

Hehe! I was referring to wwamd! ;)

·
·
·
·
·
·

You're right. It would have made an awesome post.

·
·
·
·

Perhaps I will. I tend to put a lot into replies. Maybe I should just make them posts

·
·
·

Yeah, lots of hope here. Apparently the chain is built on graphene, and it's pretty awesome tech and can handle some insane transaction times. Steem's got GOOD bones.

·
·

Well, it sure pays off! I find SBD price a mistery, if you know any other good explanations write about it ;)

·
·
·

I'll most probably talk about it in my next post but that isn't 100% sure.

·
·

Wow! 10-20 hours on 1 post and sometimes even longer!! I guess that's the difference between you and most of us. Gotta work harder on my posts!!!!

·
·
·

Just make sure to have fun. Sometimes it's not necessarily how much work we put it but how much fun we successfully communicate.

·
·
·
·

Indeed.

·
·

That the beauty of blogging isn't it?? Worth for time n money..

·
·

That is very heartening to know that you soend at least 10 hourson these posts that earn you over a thousand dollars!!!! (even if you really didnt spend 10 hoyrs on it its a good thing to tell new steemiters out there that they should work harder if they want to get more or higher pay outs!"

·
·

Wow thats a lot of time. Excellent post with so much info. keep it up.

Marvelous vision and information, as always-- thank you for your tireless and positive portrayals of Steemit, and our future as a community!

Whenever people start worrying about the possible "crypto bubble" we may (or may not) be in I keep reminding myself that even $70bn is nothing more than a tiny speck in the greater ocean called "investments." $70bn isn't even the 10th largest mutual fund... of thousands of mutual funds. $70bn doesn't crack the top 100 largest companies list (by market cap). So of COURSE there is lots of room to grow!

I didn't realize you were starting a witness-- you have my vote!

·

Thank you for the nice comment.

Thank you for approving my witness.

By the way, my witness is up since September. I just don't do witness updates on their own so that might be the reason you missed it.

Your enthusiasm and ideas are intriguing and exciting. I am 70 and feel a youthful enthusiasm for Steemit and the promise of the blockchain revolution. It's like discovering the internet as it was just starting. Fascinating stuff. Enjoyed and upvoted your post. Thanks.

·

Thank you @rgingery23! This is really cool to read!

Thanks i have known steem on may 29
And also steem in the market will buy more and
More
And also introduce many korean people and they said
They loved steemit so much
So my wife want to buy more steem

Thanks

I UV this very early for you to support you as best I could.

You continue to be a good loyal supporter of so many great things and ideals on here and the more I learn about you man, the more I like you.

Most sincerely,

BD.

I love me some good stats and charts and numbers alright!

Great great post my man.

Thank you very much!

wow. all I can think of is......"Toto, we're not in Kansas anymore"!!!

I'm not really sure what the witnesses do, but I'll vote for you @teamsteem!

·

A witness on a blockchain is also called a miner in some places -- basically they run a node (computer) that maintains the blockchain (network) of all the activity on it.

·
·

Miner and witness are two very different way to produce blocks. What are blocks and a blockchain? Well it's all mentioned in the article I linked below.

·
·
·

Yes, I was not meaning to confuse the 2, just give her the basics and similarities of the 2 since these terms are often used interchangeably in the Crypto eco system with differences btw them all and the coding/functions etc.

·
·
·
·
·

Pleasure.

I have stuff on my page today and most days, that may help you out my friend.

·

Thank you @gardenlady! I really appreciate you supporting me and approving my witness.

You might want to look at this post linked below to get a better grasp of what are witness and what they do. Look under the sub-title "What are Steem witness" in particular or the whole post if you feel like it. It really give a good overview of how Steem works in it's most intricate detail and all of it in layman terms.

Steem: An In-Depth Overview!

·
·

thanks @teamsteem! I'v e gotten to the point I can tell people what is steemit and what is steem and why it's groundbreaking, but then I kind of stumble ;-)

·
·
·

It's complex. It might be better just to try to have them sign and then make a little introduction post, market it for them and see if they like it.

·
·

Oh, and another question I have...
I've been keeping everything in Steem Power and I plan on doing that for quite some time...however, if I did want to 'power down', can you STOP a power down after just one week?

·
·
·

Sure!

I like the title of the section "Steem Are Minded Into Existence"

This so true! Everyone should read this! I have resteemed!

·

I know right. I could have done a post with that section only and it might have made it to the top on its own. Maybe I should have.

·
·

Well, now we know what next week's post will be about LOL

·
·
·

Hmm. I have other plans I think.

·
·

It definitely would have! This needs to be Steemit's tagline!

·
·
·

Good idea!

·

Aw man! Steemdown is so awesome! Kudos to you!

$115M Total Steemit Inc holding (40%)

this really is a lot.
hope it works out okay.

·

You're bringing up a very good point. It turns out 40% might not be as much as it seems and very soon due to inflation and other factors (like Steemit account not voting) it seems like this 40% could very well be below 30% and shrinking. I might do a post on this actually as this sounds an important thing to research.

Take care Kyle!

·
·

Yeah I haven't done a stat work up on their coin profile, probably will if I ever increase my stake in this network. Steem's history IMO is rather interesting and I am not sure about exactly how their (and accounts like dan or other pseudonyms) holdings effect the economics.

Steem is the huge opportunity among all cryptocurrencies. Mass adoption can be amazing cause the entry barrier is low and the micropayments are free! I just cannot describe how huge is this opportunity.

·

Indeed!

This is all very wonderful data and I am happy to see Steem growth off the charts, as well as activity, can't wait to see where we are another year from now...

·

That's an interesting thought but let's not lose sight of the NOW. Ha! That NOW!

ok you can be a witness this time :P good post

·

Thank you for your support and approving my witness @bobskibob!

·

Thank you Tim! I really appreciate your comment and your work here on Steem as well as all the work your doing as a witness. And thank you for supporting my witness too.

·

thanks for the recruitment post STEEM Tim?

·
·

Welcome :)

Woah, this rules! I have some reading to do. Thank you!

·

Thank you Matt for your vote and also your interest! I glad you took the time to comment.

Great article, followed and voted you for as a witness. Full steem ahead!

Thank you @archange! By the way, I know it's not relate but I think people really love your badges. Great work!

·
·

Thanks for the kind words.

Very professional analysis with a host of very usable information and insights my friend @teemsteem. This is precisely the kind of report that shows investors and content providers like myself why Steemit is more than worth the time people put into it. Thanks

·

Thank you Jeff! This is one of the reason why I'm doing this so I'm glad it works.

I'm blown away by that! Thanks

·

Wow! Thanks!

Incredible post, congratulations. Steem is the real future of social Network.

·

Thank you for the compliment and I do think Steem is the future of social network and possibly a lot more.

Probably the most interesting post I've read all day! Thank you!

·

Cool! I had a lot of fun writing it.

good news...

·

I very much think so!

And they said it was impossible....Impossible isn't a fact, it's an opinion. Good Job!

·

Thank you!

Man things are looking good with strong trade and slow climb to the top, looking forward on building my portfolio if you have the time stop by my feed and see if you enjoy anything as im a newbie just trying to steem!. UPVOTED thanks again

·

They sure are looking good to me! Slow steady climb...

Yup, the more STEEM grows in price the more people will join and post, and the more STEEM will grow, and endless cycle..

·

Not endless but there's still a lot of place for growth.

it will go up even higher than that

·

I hope so!

OMG
Very Nice

Would REALLY like to get a Steemit t-shirt!

·

I know right! They're awesome. If you are in the US @kaylinart is selling some through her amazon thing.

I just used a printing company on the internet but I don't remember which one.

Really good post, very well presented and well written.

·

Thank you @funnyman! I love your name!

So we will buy a steem for long term?

·

To each his own situation. I can't answer that question for you or anyone.

Its pretty impressive what crypto is on to right now, expect the market to become flooded by ipo adopters, changing their target and game plans.

·

Yeah. It feels surreal.

Fiat currencies are having some issues. The dollar for instance had a hard week. Steem and other crypto currencies have a lot of potential to fill the void that maybe left in their wake. Thanks for the article.

·

I haven't verified if it's true the statement is true but it's clear that the smaller the currency the easier for it to get in trouble and Bitcoin and other crypto will cause problem for all fiat currency. We're already seeing it.

Bitcoin is now bigger than the majority of all fiat currencies

Thanks for trying to vote on my first post. I just wrote my 2nd article on Steemit: https://steemit.com/money/@jdawg/diversify-out-of-the-dollar
please vote and resteem!

·

It is about enjoying life. Money is just a tool and fiat currency or national currency are the tool of the "devil" at least how they are used today.

Nice Post. It gives world understanding the market growth of Cryptocurrencies.

·

Thanks! Thanks! I'm trying. It's not easy.

Another great article! Steem has tremendous potential. upvoted
This is my first article that I wrote on Steemit. I would appreciate if others can upvote and resteem. It needs some help getting noticed. lol

·

Thank you for trying! I appreciate it.

That was an amazing article, there is so much positive feeling around steemit moving forward. It's great to be a small part in it.

·

We all have one life. We all play a small part or a big part. No life is bigger than the other.

How do you write with such a small font?

·

This is how. I'm not sure what the sup function serve. It's to align the text on the line I think. So you can try without using the sup and also using it. !

·
·

The sup function is a superscript! You might be able to do the same thing with a sub markup.

Fun with superscripts:
Avogadro's number: 6.022140857 × 1023 !

Here's fun with subscripts and italics:
WF = -mg(hB - hA) - WS

I am probably the resident HTML expert. Ask me anything. (My introduction post is still being worked on, or you might know this by now.)

I know nothing about coding. Sadly for me. Thank you for sharing.

Yeah so many great things about Steem, instant, easy and low cost. What I like the most is how to send Steem to other account, just using account name.

·

Yup. No other crypto is as fun as Steem.

A lot of information to absorb but eventually I will get there with these amazingly informative posts.Just a newbie with only 10 days experience.A lot to learn. Thanks a lot.Cheers!!!

Informative and Fruitful Analysis ! thank you so much @teamsteem !

·
·
·

welcome !

This is really a mind blowing information. I am not bored when I read every details in fact I am very much interested in the article. TIA

·

Thank you!

One important thing I would like to know is what the combined cryptocurrency market cap is as a percentage of the global fiscal market cap ... That would give us an idea of how much of a 'bubble' we are currently in; as well as how much legs the current market has. Anything less than 5% to my mind would make this no bubble, just a start to mainstream adoption.

·

That sure would be interesting. I'd love to see that.

This is a really informative post. Crazy how well the cryptocurrency world has developed in the last six months... I just hope it isn't too much of a bubble.

·

I hope so too and I think it's not just a bubble.

Wow, nice write. I'm new here, but I'm just happy I wrote something in the same genre today! Go STEEM!!

Read the comment at the top I made. I talk about it in detail.

Too good to be true... but I'm a belivier! #gosteemit

·

I know. It's so hard to wrap our heads around the economics. We've been fed so much fake economics principals.

Fantastic, informative read. I wonder if the idea of earning Steem has anything to do with the depth and quality of this analysis? :)

·

Well, the big Steem Power Holders thought so...

Awesome stats teamsteem! Thanks for all the time and effort you have put into this! Upvoting and Resteeming now! @seafarerz

·

Thank you for your sweet comment.

·
·

You're welcome!

awesome stats and article.

I dont like the pumping of steem. I think it would be prudent to also recognbice the high evaluation of steem and maybe thank the market for etc and of course it is cool to say we are working towards being more valuable than fb etc. However things like i think the price of steem will be higher in the future is not good to say when representing steem.

There is a lot of pumping going on and i think it is prudent to not take part in it as platform owner.

·

Thank you. I think I made an honest analysis and I agree with you.

@teamsteem You have a very great post, i resteem for you

·

Thank you!

some might want to remove Ripple from cryptocurrencies

You're damn right Ripple does not belong. Ripple is debt!

·

Maybe.

Waoooh,,,,, Crypto world is so disruptive just as the internet was at first. Its been a journey

wow, thanks for all this information and for sharing them.

·

I enjoyed it a lot too!

Great post! This crypto surge is unreal. In some respects it felt like it came out of nowhere but I guess it has been brewing for years. The lows really pile drove me into the ground. But I'm trying to catch a ride back up!

·

It pretty awseome! I agree.

People should remember... currencies > stocks... currencies when compared apples to apples against other currencies, we would look at things like the dollar, which is in the trillions of market cap. However, the dollar is ambiguous because they don't tell us all the things which exchange in dollars, pegged to dollars like derivatives.

Steem as a currency (which it is) may easily surpass Apple's stock price one day. Steemit as a company is not worth Apple's market share, but Steem as a currency may be, since it is becoming an every-day used currency people are more and more familiar with thanks to Steemit.com. It would be a few years (or weeks at this rate) before it gets there! :) Hard to tell. I was thinking 200 bil total market in 5 years a few weeks ago when the market was 34 billion. Now 200 bil is not far off and it's been a month.

·

I agree.

Good article. Thanks for bringing this to my attention. You read this stories about people selling their cars to buy cryptos and I think to myself: Don't invest money you don't have. We do need more indept investment analysis. Do you know this interesting site? https://www.coincheckup.com The site is my go to place for crypto investment analaysis and indepth coin research.

As well as siddartha I'm impress how much effort you putted in to this post! Super interesting! I hope that your knowledge will get to more people who never heard about Steemit or Crypto Currency.... In our society we still have to much people brainwashed by social media to understand the powerful meaning that Steemit can build!

·

I whole heartily agree my friend.
