What To Do When Steem Is At An All Time High?
For the last few days Steem and SBD are on a high rise. As I type this post into my draft notepad Steem is at about 7 USD and SBD at 10 USD. As far as I can recollect it has never been this high in the last 6 months after I have been on Steemit. Seeing the values at such high values causes me to be pretty thrilled at having been on Steemit for so long albeit a bit irregularly.
So what should you do when the values are so high?
First and foremost be thankful to Steemit and all those behind it for having created a monster that keep moving forward and keeps increasing your earnings and investment. Far too many people find more negatives than good things on the site. After all the site is still in beta and has a long way to go with so many major improvements on the anvil.
You may be suddenly be wondering what to do with so much SBD since it has a surprise boosted price hovering around 10 USD. The best thing to do is to convert it into Steem, that is if you don't need it urgently for any expenses that you can't put off anymore. Steem is the crypto currency to watch and many say that it will be soaring up in value through the year and beyond.
The reason is not difficult to guess. Steemit has gained popularity across the world as a place where you can blog and get paid for it. Instead of using Facebook you can do the same thing here and get paid for your comments as well. Any site that rewards people is bound to be popular online.
But the site's attraction is not limited to money alone. You can get to meet like minded people who can be your friends.
Steem has also emerged as one of the stronger contenders in the crypto space. Being tied to a popular social networking and blogging platform it has become a good alternative to Bitcoin which honestly is out of reach for most people due to its high purchase price, and it's high volatility at that price.
Steem is still very undervalued and will definitely be one of the top ten cryptocurrencies at the end of the year.
Another task that you must step up is posting to your blog frequently. More posts mean more earnings and a higher chance of getting seen. It also means more followers and more people to read and appreciate your posts.
Don't forget to increase commenting. Writing useful comments after reading posts is an underrated way of earning money. Useful comments can fetch more than some of the best posts you publish on your blog.
The price of Steem is still low, as it is undervalued as mentioned above. If you have money that you can spare you must buy some Steem. It will not only make a good investment but will also increase your voting power and credibility on Steemit. With more Steem Power you can really make your presence felt and also become a role model for other Steemians by rewarding good content and investing in Steem.
So there you have it. Make the best out of the increasing price of Steem and SBD and plan for your future.

Interesting post. I'm quite new to steemit and now that my first post rewards are added to my wallet, the wondering starts. What to do... I guess exchanging to steem seems the best option for now. Although you get less in exchange with the fast increase of the steem/dollar value.
I've see the beta sign and was wondering why because the platform feels quit smooth but I start to understand the reason.
Steemit is indeed a snowball who's rolling faster and faster. I start to see the flaws and I wonder if they will manage to change the direction and resolve some of the negatives. It won't be easy to get a final product where good content is really rewarded and have less spam from people who want to earn some quick and easy money.
When I compare Steemit with Facebook when it was a year old I think the folks behind Steemit have done a pretty good job. I encounter bugs, slow loading and other issues even now on Facebook when it is supposed to be something remarkable now, at least for the fans of FB.

The best advice here is to buy Steem with the SBD and power up. (Along with good commenting 😉) SBD is programmed to weight itself to the USD, so is sitting at a place where it is quite overvalued, whereas Steem, which hitherto the November spike of SBD was almost continuously trading between 1 to 1.20-1.60, Steem being the higher valued. Power up folks! Pennies to dimes to dollars😄

Great post. I don't think that the price of either Steem or SBD has ever been this high. The best way of taking advantage is to increase our posting, commenting and curation efforts. The way I see it is that we are now seeing the real strength of Steem. Instead of cashing in the community is creating even more content and upping the value of the platform. Great advise, keep steemin all, let's get the value up even more so that the world can take notice of the best social media platform in the world.
