How To Get Followers WITHOUT F4F | Get Organic Followers Who Are Interested In YOUR Content

in #community7 years ago (edited)

Most Steemit users whether new or old have trouble getting organic followers. In frustration they resort to the infamous F4F which stands for follow-for-follow in the hope that they will be able to increase their follower count.

In this post I will list down ways that you can get organic followers. Some of the techniques are really easy while others could be a little time and could be difficult if you would like to call it that.

Choose a Niche

You can pick 2 or 3 niches on which you write good content. It's not advisable to go all over the place with a post on a different niche each time. For example you can create posts on technology and science since both niches could have the same audience.

The easiest and fastest way to gain followers is to comment on the posts of newcomers. You can find these posts by looking up the introduceyourself tag. Give them a warm welcome and write a few encouraging lines. You can also give them a couple of tips based on what they have written in their introduction.

Publish Regularly

Make it a point to write a post every day if possible. If not try to publish at least 5 times a week. The more you post the greater visibility your posts will get.

Not only that but the followers that you gain will be influenced by regular posts and will look for your latest post when they access the site.

Useful Content

Now this could be a controversial topic because you must have seen posts that are nothing but garbage in the form of a few lines about their grandmother's cat or even an image without any text.

When you post try to post something that is truly useful or entertaining while being unique. All I can say about garbage posts being put out by those with thousands of followers and still hitting the trending page is - you are testing the patience of your followers! Don't take followers for granted. The minute those followers have options they will stop following people who publish trash.

Follow Whales

If you follow about 8-10 whales, read and comment on their posts regularly you will see the magic happen. They will see your regular comments, come over to your blog and if they like your content, they will start giving your posts a boost with their high value upvotes.

If a handful of whales upvote your posts your posts will be on the trending or hot pages. Posts featuring in these sections always get more followers than the rest. Not just that but when followers of whales notice that they are upvoting your posts those followers will follow you too.

Using Chat

Steemit it is not the only place to socialize. You can also join channels on Discord and Steemit chat and start talking to people on those platforms. You will soon make friends and also get enough upvotes to get your posts trending.

Following Followers

Follow those who have good content on their blogs and comment on their posts. The art of following is a two way street. When your followers notice that you also read their posts they will always read and comment on your posts. This creates a ripple effect and more people will join you as your followers.

Holding Contests

This is also an easy way of getting a large number of followers in a short period of time. If you browse the contests tag you will find a variety of contests being held. Organize one yourself.

If you don't want to hold your own contest you can participate in a few of them every week. This will bring more visibility to your posts and people will start following you.

Step Out of Steemit

Share your posts outside steemit on Facebook and other social media sites like Twitter and Instagram. The people who come in from those platforms will become your followers first and will also be interested in your posts.

Conclusion

If you follow all of any of these tips you will never have to waste time doing "F4F". F4F is a waste of time since you end up following people who are not interested in your content and even worse, could be spammers out to spam the daylights out of Steemit. With patience and diligence you can easily build a tribe of followers who will appreciate your posts and support you for the long term.

After posting your comment I think you forgot about it. I got an unpleasant surprise when I went to see the ocd post and there was no trace of my post. So I did the next best thing - I featured myself in the comments. After all you clearly stated that the post was up for nomination.

Going ahead you may like to make note of your nominations by making a list in a notepad or a piece of paper. ;-)

Curation posts are a great way to contribute to the community, provided it also gives back to the authors and not the the posts themselves.

In fact, I am also a creator of a poplar curation adition called Max Curation Edition.

I am planning to expand and scale up the Max Curation Editions with some changes. Stay tuned folks and follow me!

I have a list of the post I nominated and you weren't on the first Position. I submited your post today, but it is not surch it will make the compilation, because we are voting on every submition and the once with the hightes votes go in the compilation.

No sweat. Some other time!

Great, wondering how to save for later. ? New here, so does that mean resteem it. ?

Yes, if you resteem it you can see it on your profile page - that's one way of "saving" it. I created a Steemit folder in my bookmarks for saving useful posts - you can google how to do it for Chrome and Firefox. If you need help, let me know.

Great, thanks.,I will do both..))
