We'll be halfway in the playoffs after this week. I haven't been able to watch all matches last couple weeks so I will still take a rather slow betting approach mostly taking notes and doing in-game betting. There will also be a match on Monday
Standard vs Racing Genk
Racing Genk played one of their best matches last weekend winning with 3-1 against their direct competitor for the title. They changed their overall style to a much more physical one not allowing Club Brugge to play and put a lot of energy into it. Standard has become a bit overrated the way I look at it. Their coach has gone for a style of play where they give less away hoping not to get as many goals against. They were quite lucky in their first 2 matches which they won. They lost 4-0 away against Club Brugge and were helped last week by Anderlecht fans who sabotaged the match. They are generally strong at home though and them being a small underdog seems to be fair. Racing Genk also lost 8 out of their last 10 visits to Sclessin, the 2 others were draws. Both teams will be able to field their best 11 players. Standard went under 9.5 in all of their home matches against other top teams while Genk went 3-1 on the under so that might be something to look at. I don't expect this one to be wide open all the way given the changed style of Genk and the fact that Standard also plays less open than they used to. I took just a small bet on
Under 3 @ 1.95 and I'll see how it goes live. As often I won't hesitate to hedge out of it. I do like Genk in this one but need some strong live confirmation first in order to get in on them at the given line. Should be an interesting match to watch and I'm looking forward to it...
