Learn How To Boost Your SERP Ranking With Testimonials - The Robust Strategy Explained - SEO Tutorial Series # 19

Welcome to the nineteenth tutorial of my SEO tutorial series. In the last post, we discussed one of the great techniques to grow your user-base/viewership, increase the sales of your product and at the same time, improve your SERP ranking. Yes, I am talking about Guest Posting.

Today, we're going to discuss another method that can be used to improve your SERP ranking. The best thing about this method is that it doesn't require much efforts and the sad part is, the method is not free. You'll have to spend your money to be able to get backlinks from this method. But how and why? You will know after reading this tutorial.

Ever noticed how some people include their testimonial on various products page and they leave their site's link at the end of their comment? Ever wondered why they include their website link to the testimonial page? I guess NO (for the majority of people). Providing a valuable testimonial with your link included is the best way to increase your SERP ranking.

The reason why I consider it best is because the testimonials are highlighted on the homepage of the site which serves two purposes:

• Drive the people to your site.
• Increase your SERP ranking because of its high impact.

Why is the impact of links in testimonials high?

Usually, the homepage of most sites has great metrics such as high page authority and low citation flow. That's ideal and is exactly what Google is looking for. Though it should be noted that Google doesn't care about the MOZ metrics and instead, they follow their own algorithm but the truth is, the Page Authority metrics seems very close to Google's own algorithm.
In Google's view, the links that are mentioned on the homepage of any reputable site means that the mentioned site is very important to be included in the Top 10 results.

Why is this method working robustly?

That's because most of the SEO optimizers are busy in experimenting on FREE methods. Some of them believe that Free backlinks can suffice them while some of them believe that spending money on backlinks is a waste of both, time and money. Therefore, most of the people haven't realized the power of links from products' testimonial page.

Which products to buy in order to get backlink opportunity?

The only part which requires your time is the search for valuable products and thanks to the creators of products, we get new opportunities every day. Most of the products' homepage has high metrics because of their marketing on media and press sites. Such sites gain popularity and visitors in a very short period of time. The product can be anything from digital to physical. It can be web hosting service or it can be kittens delivery to home.

Sounds great, right? But you must make sure about the following things before you select any product:

• The product must allow you to write testimonials after you purchase their service.
• The testimonial section should be located to the URL which has high-metrics. Usually, the homepage of such sites has good metrics. But some sites don't show testimonials on the homepage. Instead, they keep a separate page of "Testimonials". Just make sure that the page has good metrics.
• If the product is new and you have an opportunity to get your link at their homepage, if you believe that the product will trend well in future, then take immediate action.

How big should the budget be? Is it costly?

It totally depends on what product you are purchasing. To be honest, if the product I am buying is physical, then I can happily buy and resell to people at discount. That way, I'd save a big sum of money and at the same time, my link will be live on the product's homepage. Take the example of iPhone from Amazon ;)

Even if the product is digital and you have just a single license, then I believe that there's no harm if you completely transfer your license to someone (without violating the agreement with product's owner). For example, You purchased web-hosting service for 12 months. You can either offer web hosting account to someone for 12 months at discount. I mean, if you purchased at $200, you can sell for $180. That way, your link on their homepage will stay alive and you'll save money big time.

How to search the products?

Well, there are many techniques that can be used. Google is your best friend. You can filter the search results by time. Don't know how? Have a look:

Search with Google in the following format:

"your keyword here" + "product"
" your keyword here" + "ebook"
"your keyword here" + "buy now"
"your keyword here" + "Amazon"
