Hello one and all! How's your Sunday been going?
Went out on an epic adventure with your buddies? Or woke up late on a lazy Sunday and are still in your pajamas?

Either way, no worries! Because you're here now, in my post.
An awesome post of my Pocket Journal Entry #5! That means your day was spent well.
Enough self back-patting.

Before we go ahead, these are the past entries. Just saying. No compulsion to check it out.

Achievement History

Alrighty then.

I started writing my Assignments on 16/02/2018. So far, I've completed 3.5 out of 14 questions. The deadline of submission is the end of this month. Gotta haul ass.

Waking up early has been a bit of a problem. I don't know what kind of force out there makes me want to not get out of my bed earlier, but it's a strong force alright.
Must. Awake. At. 6:00 AM!
The accompanied jogging challenge has been going okay. I've jogged on alternative days.

Sleeping early still needs some work. The time still crosses 10:30 PM when I hit the bed.
Y U NO LET ME SLEEP INTERNET?!

The physiotherapy exercises have picked up pace too. I've been doing it at least once everyday.
Aiming for twice per day.

And finally, this one's the best news: I've started writing my Assignments!
Boy, this took a lot of time just to get started with. Freaking 1 month or something! But as they say,

Starting is half the work done.

Can I has start again?

So, I can say that Good YesAye has won this round!

Let's Improve

Finally!
Since I've done decently on my previous challenges and goals, I will be adding some new ones.

Challenges

  1. 7 Minute Workouts everyday!
Many of you already know this app, but for those who don't...eh, just google it.
This is the best kind of workout for people who're too lazy to go to a gym but not enough for wanting to skip exercising. I might see great results in about 2 months' time, if I do it consistently everyday.
    Expect a ripped YesAye.

  2. Headspace meditation everyday!
This one's a killer meditation (that oxymoron though) app! I had tried it before (I quit like a loser) and I could notice a considerable change in my thinking patterns by Day 6. All I have to do is 10 minutes of it. I suggest you to give it a shot too, if you have anxiety, depression or general sadness/uneasiness.

  3. Stick to my Steemit schedule & post everyday.
I had created that nifty little (annoying, monster of a) schedule (that I'm not able to keep up at all) to ensure that I maintain quality in my blog (so that huge whales put me on their pedestal/auto-voter-thingy) and provide something of value to the community.
Following the schedule would mean that you'll get to see a variety of stuff on my blog and it'll help me in bringing my A-game to Steemit. So then, Good Ripped YesAye will become Cool Ripped YesAye.
(speaking of cool, have you noticed my new avy and cover pic lately?)

Goal(s)

Since every Steemer and their uncle's been creating goals of achieving a certain Steem Power or something Steemit-related, I'd like to set one for myself too.

Earn 10,000 Steem Power by December 31st, 2018.

That's right @wandereronwheels! I'll be joining you in this quest of attaining 10K Steem Power by the end of this year!
(maybe even beat you to it!)
pssst whales, will need your help in this!

That Happened

There's some exciting things I've to tell you this week!

On Learning Japanese 🎌

I've started learning this beautiful language from 16/02/2018. For this, I'm using the app Human Japanese. I must say, I think this is the best app to learn Japz among all! Everything is explained to the dot with a fun write-up and awesome examples. Even those examples are broken down to further digest the material completely. It's just...perfect.
So if you've been thinking of giving Japanese a shot, I suggest you to use this app - a 100%.

Curie Logo Contest Finalist 🎊

That's right! I had participated in the curie logo designing contest and had submitted 2 entries. Out of that, 1 made it to the finals! Check out the post about finalists here!
Honestly, I had almost zero hopes of qualifying because of the fact that my entry didn't receive that many up-votes. It looks like the curie team personally liked my entry and qualified it. That'd be so cool if it is the case. :D
(Hopefully a curator from @curie is reading this and can clarify!)
And even give a curie up-vote while they're at it.

Hello, Followers 👣

I'm about to hit 200 followers. That's a milestone, right?

(Yeah, if 3/4th of those weren't dead followers and the remaining 1/4th actually followed your content.)
No, zip it Bad YesAye! Bad YesAye is bad!
(;-;)

Honestly, the follow system itself is kinda broken. How are you gonna read the posts of each and every one of your followed users, when there are hundreds of whom you follow?
The only work-around is bookmarking the interesting users whom you follow.
So, basically - re-following the ones you follow.
Have you bookmarked me yet?

Contest, Contest Everywhere 🏆

Recently, I've been participating in a lot of contests. You can see them below:
Dayum, son.

And now, I'm gonna participate in one more!
(Nooooo!)
This one is a comedy contest conducted by @idikuci, called Comedy Open Mic.
It's a newly started contest and this is just round 1. So, if you're good at writing funny, be sure to participate in that contest!
Also, once I post my entry to that, be sure to support my entry post with your up-vote. In it to win it baby!

Start by doing what's necessary; then do what's possible; and suddenly you are doing the impossible.

Love this quote.

Tell Me These

1. What is your favorite quote?

2. What element of Steemit do you love?

The conversations/content/money/something else?

@yesaye was here.

Sort:

Quotes are different so I don't take personal preferences, maybe Shia LeBouf screaming Just DO it sticks out more than fancy generals and wise people of old and that's why I'd keep it to myself :D I haven't put much effort into remembering and caring for quotes.

Steemit was a place loved for just those three things mentioned, the conversation was above par, there were great rewards, but the most important aspect to me was the fact people were sharing actual information and actually caring, rather than the usual, I'm ok with how stuff is so I'll just do whatever pays better, sadly that's more of what I'm seeing and it's disheartening seeing steem turn into a money printing machine and nothing else, no content, no soul ... well I suppose we will always have the people writing up posts for 2 dollars

Thank You Very Much @yesaye, + Thanks to the "Be Awesome" community, yeah I can call it that, :D we communicate at least :)

Cheers :)

I see. What I feel about quotes is that they're a form of poetry; conveying a lot through so little.
Some quotes are empowering, like this one:

Inspiration is for amateurs—the rest of us just show up and get to work.
— Chuck Close

How do you feel about this quote, @j3dy? Doesn't it make you want to stop procrastinating and finally finish that work you've been putting off? That's how I felt when I first came upon it and it hasn't left my mind since then.
If a quote resonates with you, then you'll have to put zero efforts in remembering it! ;)

It saddens me too, to look at the majority of the content being spam and garbage, posted by people just to earn some quick buck.
But there is still hope as a small bunch of people are still putting their heart and soul into their posts, regardless of whether they're earning or not.

And thank you for commenting and sharing some of your thoughts! :)
Be Awesome community sure is awesome for putting community over $$$. It's cool to be a part of such a community that cares about this platform and its users.
Cheers!

Cheers and thanks for the comment, it's rare for me nowadays to have some resonance, I'm usually too spent to comment and nowadays even more since I'm trying to get stuff working :D of course procrastination is a hindering the advances, although who knows, maybe it's just inability to manage too many things at once.

True, that too could be the case.
And yeah, life does get hectic sometimes; I've been skipping all my goals in these past few days, posting on Steemit included!
Gotta get back on track again!

Great set of goals man. I've dabbled used headspace and calm apps, and find it really good when I stick to it, but it's hard to stay consistent.

Thanks buddy! It sure is a challenge to stick to good habits. No wonder Bad YesAye has already scored 2 points!
I've a trick for maintaining your habit streak: putting an X mark on the calendar on every day when you do that habit.
Once the streak builds up, you'll be motivated to not break it and have a successful run.
Btw I'm curious as to how you came upon this post, seeing how fairly non-trending it is haha!
