My Tiny Garden - Sisters (part 1)

Last year I had two different Streptocarpus plants in bloom. One all light purple, the other one double colour white and navy blue with some stripes. I thought I will make a little experiment and try to cross pollinate them. It work! I got a seed pod with hundreds tiny seeds. Soon after I had thunders of tiny plants! I kept just the biggest and strongest ones and they were growing and growing and then started to bloom.

Maybe I am weird and twisted, but it was so exciting to see the flowers open. After all, I had no idea if my experiment would work, and what colour or mix of colours I would get.

First to open were those two. Almost identical, but not quite. One has more of the dark veins, the other has the petals more frilly.
Some others started to grow buds, but they are not there yet, so I will have to wait a bit longer and take some shots for Part 2.
