Thanks to everyone who entered and supported Open Mic Week 8. Community support for Open Mic has been tremendous and is one of many projects bringing the music community together on Steemit.
There's so many talented people entering this week that it's very difficult to choose the winners. Everyone sounds so good! I just want to remind everyone that votes are only part of the selection process. Entertainment value and performance is factored in too.
The coolest thing about Open Mic is it brings the Steemit community together and that is the whole point of this project.

So much talent unheard and I'm glad we finally have an opportunity to show case our gifts to one another.
This week was really tough picking winners. There are so many good entries to choose from. It seems the word is getting out about Open Mic as a place for Steemian musicians to come together and have some fun.
What I really like about it is even if someone doesn't win they still get some rewards from their posts, so really everybody wins. I like that. Plus we get to hear some cool music.
