First landmark achieved as a Steemit musician // 10 CONSECUTIVE OPEN MIC ENTRIES! What's next?
When I joined Steemit 3 months ago, I looked around to know how to put my music out there and meet fellow musicians like me.
There was one answer to that question: I have to participate in the Open Mic contest hosted by @luzcypher and sponsored by @pfunk which is the best outlet to show the steemit community your music.
So I jumped on the train and recorded a bunch of live musical performances. I consider myself more of a composer and a studio musician, so recording myself in one take, with no editing forced me to be true to myself as a musician and accept sounds that are more raw and unpolished. In the process I learned about myself, my music, I gained some followers, made some friends and some musical collaborations were born from it. When I undertook this challenge I said to myself "do at least 10" so I would be able to play in different styles and use different instruments and show the community what I am about. I am pleased to say that this first goal is now acheived as I posted my tenth consecutive entry in a row this week which coincides with the full year of the open mic contest (congrats to the OM crew for their achievement). Maybe an artist did all 52 entries, I don't know, but I'd like to know if someone did.

True! Both during my vacation this summer in NS (Uku fit in my bag, this is why). Next time I am around I will ask Paula (she was in the cave with us when I recorded that) where I can find my boy the GA.
