Country Music Series - Villans Country Favorites Part 17

I love my evil stuff and always have, but why are so many people like myself drawn to the darker side of life?
Well for me I find good to be a little boring, evil is so much more interesting and exciting. With good like the good guys in the movies you usually know what to expect.
Evil on the other hand is really unpredictable and you never really know what to expect. This is probably why some many people prefer scary movies with lots of evil in them.

It's funny because I'm a nice guy and will try my best to help others and treat people nicely just as I would like to be treated, yet I still love evil things.
But deep down I just wanna watch the world burn sometimes. People frustrate me and I really get peed off with people some times.
I can't help it as I have experienced some very hard times in my life, so I just about loose my shit when I see pettyness.
Some people have no idea what tough is, and it can make me wild.

I think it's good to acknowledge that I'm like that, by being aware of it I can keep a lid on it.
I just let my anger out at the gym, or use music like dark country as a vessel to release all that anger.

Dark Country is perhaps not the most well known genre of music, you can tell that by the number of views most of the videos I share have. So hopefully I can unite some of you with a new genre of music that I love.
As with all my music series I share, I get some really great feedback.

Here is some awesome feedback I got from @mgood

I love Alison Krauss. She is tops - very talented. She has some very good songs from the movie "Oh Brother, Where Are Thou."
I highly recommend the movie. It was a lot of fun and great music.

Here is some great feedback I received from @jennifer78

I love this post. You hit on a touchy subject that is personal with me! I am sorry for your chronic pain as I know first hand what it is like. I hope that you find relief in some way and music is a good outlet.
I have noticed from your previous Country Music Series posts that you included a few tracks from the series Sons of Anarchy. That show had an amazing soundtrack with a few original songs and amazing covers!
I am not sure if you are familiar with folk, but this one is one of my favorites and it has a gothic feel to it. I heard it many years ago, then again on the O Brother, Where Art Thou Soundtrack, but this one, was heard on the show Supernatural. "Oh Death" by Rising Appalachia

Here is some feedback from @wildflowerjessi

Ahhh I see someone recommended Rising Appalachia.
They are one of my favorite bands!! Just missed them when they were in Adelaide recently!

So let's look at a few more tracks which I really love.

☠️ Nick Nolan - Shackles, Ropes and Chains

Here is another brilliant track from Nick Nolan.
Shakles, Ropes and Chains is how I would be tied up if I didn't keep a lid on my anger sometimes lol.

This track makes me think about some of my friends, who didn't take a good path in life and are actually behind bars now. So this track reminds me of them and why I like being a nice guy even when people annoy me.
As with the music Nick Nolan produces, this track also has a real western feel to it. This track also has those dark lyrics which I love about dark country music.

☠️ Whiskey Myers - Bar, Guitar and a Honky Tonk Crowd

Here is another track I really love. It's not really that dark as opposed to most dark country music but I still love it non the less.
The song has a really good rhythm and that chorus sounds really good.
This song always reminds me of my love of the country and how I would love to get back there one day.

End post floatin' on a southbound breeze
Somewhere between heaven and tall pine trees
Heartland I'm missin' you

☠️ Danny Farrant & Paul Rawson - Hang Down Your Head

Here is another really good track.
I love the way she sings and she has a really good voice. There is something about a women's voice which I absolutely love.
The lyrics to this track are dark and right up my alley.
Normally I'm not a fan of music with repetitive lyrics but I do enjoy this track, I think it's the way that it has been sung that makes it sound good.
