Literaturang Filipino: Kalaban ng mga Makaluma

May mga bagay hindi mapipigilan
Tulad ng pagbabagong sinimulan
Ng mga taong nag-aral at natuto sa nakaraan
Na tanging hangad ay ikakaganda ng kinabukasan.

Pagbabago ay walang pinipili
Ito'y maaaring para sa karamihan o sarili
Ang mahalaga ay di dapat mag-aatubili
Sa minimithing pagpupunyagi.

Tandaan na kaakibat ng pagbabago
Ang pagtutol, pagkauyam, at pagkabugho
Ng mga taong binabagabag ng mga multo
Mga multo ng nakaraan na pwedeng maglaho.

Hindi dapat tayo magpapadala
Sa mga kritikal at makalumang madla
Dahil sila mismo ang nagpapalala
Sa sitwasyong kinasadlakan nila.

Kung walang pagbabago'y walang kulay
Ang sanlibutan at ang ating buhay
Dahil sa katangian nitong taglay
Maliwanag na bukas ang naghihintay.
