Hello Steemians!
Three (3) weeks ago, I wrote about how my weekend ended and how I was formally introduced into the platform.
I am still grateful to
@wandergirl for that very informative discussion. It's interesting to note of how fast time flies and here we are, addicted to this big thing going on. With cryptocurrencies, blockchain, and other terms which would require an ample amount of time to digest, it's good to have a core group that can answer all your queries and confusions.
This time, with enthusiasm, I would like to share how my Sunday was spent. Last week,
@legendarryll and I had planned a "writing session". Basically, it's just a simple meeting where we can encourage each other to write and post a good content. With the agreement to meet at Cafe Brown,
@thegaillery wanted to join together with Ivana (she's still not on steemit - don't worry, she will). With one surprise guest,
@legendarryll invited
@queenmother (she has signed up - waiting for approval) for a steemit discussion!
The usual venue of every session.
Salient Points to Crunch On:
1. Introduction of Steemit to Our New Recruit!
We have a new addition to the community. She's the Queen Mother for us. She already signed up and is waiting for her approval. I can't wait to see her posts soon!
She's actually interested to know more about the platform and she's willing to have a thorough discussion about it. However, since we are still new to steemit, we can only give her a glimpse of what the platform really is. It's good to have curious and attentive people on board. She's already conceptualizing on what her first post could be and which genre should she focus on. This means that there is another individual that could add diversity and value to the community.
@legendarryll with the Queen Mother, discussing about Steemit.
2. Discussion On How Far Are We On Steemit
Though the discussion was raw and casual, we were able to share as to how far are we on steemit. It's funny to think about since we all have joined steemit just recently. Though we have different strengths and comforts in terms of genres or topics, we are all in agreement that we should not compromise the quality of our posts. I think that it should be the essence of our meet ups. To encourage each other and to hone our skills together as a group. Sessions like this are what made me look forward of my weekends. This is the first and definitely not the last. We aim to grow together not only in terms of our skills in writing, but also as individuals who could add value to each other and to the community.
A break of a serious discussion for a photo op.
3. Visualizing Our Future Selves
Since we were able to assess our current situation and what more could we do for the community, we never forgot to visualize our future selves. We have our personal goals as well as goals for the community and for the group so, we dreamed of a day when we are able to achieve those goals. In that way, we are able to keep track of our progress. Since we are all committed to continue with this new addiction (sort of), we made sure that we all have the enthusiasm to go on.
I guess that should be all for now. Keep on steeming!
Best Regards,
@ybanezkim26
