Greetings to you all, Steemians! We are sure that not many have realized that we have a debt with the community. We have been formally founded seven (7) months ago to capitalize on work we have been doing to recommend Steemit, and during that time, we have not introduced ourselves.

How we were born

We have a perfectly clear vision now; however, it was not like that in the beginning, we never planned to create this beautiful community. @enmy and @danielvehe started inviting people to Steemit. They simply did it to make more people UpVoted them, something so innocent. Sometime after, they realized how happy people felt when they were UpVoted by whales. They could feel how they lives would change. This made a transformation in project perspective and focus. Since that moment, they were committed to help people understand better the platform, the blockchain, and the new emerging economy.

The dynamic to participate on Steemit was to create a Facebook post on special selected groups. People interested to learn more were added to a WhatsApp group to explain them all about Steemit while they were waiting for the code to log in. Once they received the approval, they were added to another group -Steemit Elite, where members of the platform participated.

Then, @bitcoinroute thought to capitalize that Whatsapp group taking it further that virtual with Meet-ups that were organized. At that moment (December 2017), we decided to create @rutablockchain, mainly to spread all around the country what we were learning about Steem and Blockchain.

We did not know ‘how’ yet, we only knew ‘the purpose’ which was to share precious information how blockchain is changing the humankind, especially Venezuelans.

Sometime after, the Discord channel was created to organize coming up ideas and to receive more people interested to be part of the project. The community itself requested the creation of a trail which allowed us to have a better identity on the platform. Even though our voting power was small, it reflected how serious our project was.

Finally, @leonelaforever teamed up with us to organize the server, bringing valuable people with great podcasts. Since that, we have grown up a lot, not only in amount (we have more than 1,000 users), but also in quality, a lot of. We have now a team managed by @enmy, @danielvehe, @leonellaforever, @madefrance, @glokdm, @dearw, @carlosizalla, @ricardo993 and skillful people such as @tresminotauros, @joseacabrerav, @bellarulox, @elvigia, @kkarenmp, @drawing4life. We also have been supported by @arcange witness. We are adding up new valuable contributors to the team which give more strength to @rutablockchain.

Thanks to our determination, we have brought a lot of talented people to Steemit which makes us feel proud of ourselves. Some of them are part of our close team; others actively participate in other communities; and some others have created their own communities. That is the most beautiful part of Steemit; everyone can be part of it, since the freedom to choose the best place where they want to be, no matter their points of view.

Mission

To contribute with skills to the society to improve their quality of life through spreading information on blockchain technology encouraging economic, cultural, and emotional development.

We have provided these tools with all our activities, not only online, but also in presence-based modality. We help people to improve their quality of life. We do this supported on blockchain technology, creating partnerships with different projects and connecting communities from different platforms. We make people get closer this new economy.

Vision

To be a community of reference in Venezuela and the world to disseminate tools based on blockchain technology.

@rutablockchain is the same as community creation. We know that the best way to expand is throughout team work –sharing experiences and knowledge; for that reason, when someone is introduced to blockchain world, we go by their side and we join them in our community where they develop, contributing with their skills to the community and receiving from the community other contributions which leads to a horizontal growth and everybody benefits from it.

Our values:

freedom, openness, decentralization, respect, and trustfulness.

We trust people’s freedom to decide, choose, and organize themselves, respecting each action. Respect is the key to community creation. On blockchain, there is a space for everyone with each of their ideas. This makes our Discord channel so different. We trust the blockchain proposal where users promote themselves coexistence rules. Openness makes us to get rid of any competence because we do not see it congruent to this new paradigm. We are keen on teaming up with different projects; supporting other communities in their expansions because we understand that we are part of ‘the whole’. Decentralization is a key part of our values because it is the main characteristic of a good blockchain. Monopolies and power centers are in the past. They are outdated in this new age; that is why we distribute what we can, there are no bosses at @rutablockchain, and we are just a team.

Activities

Online

All our activities on the web are mainly guided to support the community. We offer valuable information on our different social networks. We spread news on blockchain and our own projects on the traditional social networks. We create programs to join the community meanwhile we train them in several areas.

We have a podcast with well-known authors on the platform and they are repeated in different communities. For example, we have ‘An Evening of Poetry’. We additionally have original and unique programs such as ‘Ruteros Especiales’ where we interview inspiring people on and out Steemit. Besides, we offer ‘Financial Happiness’, thanks to the bonds with Community Trading Club (CTC), that also offers a financial coaching course to @rutablockchain team on presence-based modality and we are planning to bringing to our server, so all the members of the community can benefit of it. Another action we have is our service ‘Paid Revision’ in which we correct posts on writing, orthography, and presentation. We suggest changes, so we UpVote them latter if they satisfy quality criterion.

Presence-based modality

There are a lot of activities and we focus on individuals and enterprises. For the first one, we have meet-ups, talks, and workshops where we teach a lot of tools to improve their quality of life through blockchain. We train company staff. We also create cryptocurrency communities, if it is required.

We like to feel ourselves unique; we like to be part of a community.

There is a metaphor widely used in coaching and we remember it in our CTC course: Are you a hen or a pork?
In an omelet with bacon, the starring roles are of the pork that contributes with bacon and the hen that gives the eggs. They both act in different ways –one of it involves and the other one commits. The hen collaborates with eggs which it will continue laying, but the pork contributes with the bacon and it is able to do it only once because it dies for it. Its sacrifice makes it to commit, but the hen is only involved.
