Photo contest: post processing #8 - results

It's time to take stock of our small event. I specifically avoid the word "competition", because the main thing is not a competition, but participation, discussion, exchange of experience, conversation of people who are passionate about photography and try to get a result that is more than just pressing the shutter release button of the camera and the phone.

This is the main task that I set myself. At the same time, simple compliments have no special value. "Wow, how beautiful!"... it doesn't carry any useful information. I would like to hear the continuation of this phrase. What exactly did you like about this photo, which solutions of the author are successful. I consider constructive criticism, expressing opinions on the merits, and paying attention to important or interesting points to be the most valuable in the comments.

Together with the authors' posts, such comments can bring a lot of useful things for everyone.

Пришло время подвести итоги нашего небольшого мероприятия. Я специально избегаю слова "конкурс", потому что главным является не состязание, а участие, обсуждение, обмен опытом, разговор людей, которые увлечены фотографией и стараются получить результат, который больше простого нажатия спусковой кнопки затвора камеры или телефона.

Такова основная задача, которую я ставил перед собой. При этом простые комплименты не имеют особой ценности. "ВАУ, как красиво!"... это не несёт никакой полезной информации. За этой фразой хотелось бы услышать продолжение. Что именно в этой фотографии тебе понравилось, какие решения автора являются удачными. Наиболее ценным в комментариях я считаю конструктивную критику, высказывание мнения по существу, обращение внимания на важные или интересные моменты.

Вместе с постами авторов такие комментарии могут принести много полезного для всех.

Concept

So, the first part of the task is to present your photo made or processed in a high key. It is advisable to share the experience of creating such a photo. At the same time, you must have some idea or story embedded in the image. But you don't describe it.

The second part of the task is to comment on each participant (a prerequisite for each) and at the same time describe how you see the idea/story that your colleague presented in his work.

This will allow each creator to receive high-quality feedback from the viewer. After summing up the results (a separate post), a vote for the audience award will be announced. Based on the results of the voting, we will determine the winner.

Итак, первая часть задания - представить вашу фотографию выполненную или обработанную в высоком ключе. Желательно поделиться опытом создания такой фотографии. При этом у вас должна быть какая-то идея или история, заложенные в изображение. Но вы её не описываете.

Вторая часть задания состоит в том, чтобы прокомментировать каждого участника (обязательное условие для каждого) и при этом описать, как вы видите идею/историю, которую представил ваш коллега в своей работе.

Это позволит каждому творцу получить качественную обратную связь от зрителя. После подведения итогов (отдельный пост) будет объявлено голосование за приз зрительских симпатий. По результатам голосования мы и определим победителя.

I can't demonstrate the stages of processing, because I didn't think about it at all, but only visually achieved the desired state and, as it seems to me, I reached it to a high key by applying the final vignetting.

I continue in the wave of dreams. This time I saw myself walking alone at dawn. Everything was full of fog and I could not glimpse any living being around me. Suddenly a tree veiled by the darkness became present and I understood that although others hide, I am not alone.

It is known that angels sit in heaven, I persuade Gimp to donate a few clouds... I already like it. But something is still missing, because an idea or a story should be presented in the picture. Soap bubbles, yes, it can work.

I wanted to make this post both a summing up and a winner's choice post (a voting post for the audience award). But having collected this post, I see that it is not convenient for voting and a separate format is needed. This means that the viewer vote will be launched by a separate post.
