Basics of Tron (Part 34) : TRC-721 Tokens

Those who know a lot about the Tron blockchain have certainly come a long way, but for those who are brand new or want to get an idea on it from the beginning is a challenge. I am constantly writing in this community about the basics of Tron, from the very beginning. The name of this series I write about Tron is Basics of Tron. I provide links of my previous posts so that you can get a better idea by visiting those as well. Hopefully, tron lovers will be benefited from this series.
What are TRC-721 Tokens?
TRC-721 tokens are a type of cryptocurrency that operates on the TRON blockchain. In previous tutorial, I have discussed on another two types of TRC token and their feature. Today I shall try to cover TRC-721 tokens. TRC-721 tokens are designed to be compatible with TRON's smart contract platform. This tokens offer a more advanced set of features than traditional token standards like TRC-10 and TRC-20 which was discussed in last two posts. TRC-721 tokens are designed to be non-fungible. We know non-fungible means means that each token is unique and cannot be exchanged for another token on a one-to-one basis.
Benefits of TRC-721 Tokens

- Efficiency: TRC-721 tokens are efficient and fast to transfer. They are perfect for high-volume trading and fast transaction times.
Use Cases for TRC-721 Tokens
- Digital Collectibles: TRC-721 tokens can be used to create and manage digital collectibles like rare and unique digital items in the form of NFT.
- Gaming: TRC-721 tokens can be used to create unique in-game items like weapons, armor etc. for particular game and particular use.
- Art and Culture: TRC-721 tokens can be used to create and manage unique digital art and cultural items like virtual paintings, sculptures etc.
- Identity Management: TRC-721 tokens can be used to create and manage digital identities such as social media profiles and other online identities.
Examples of TRC-721 tokens
- CryptoKitties: This is a popular collectible game. Users are allowed to purchase, breed, and trade virtual cats that are represented as TRC-721 tokens.
- Bored Ape Yacht Club: This is a NFT project based on unique collectible apes. The apes are stored as TRC-721 tokens on the TRON network.
- Art Blocks: This platform is designed for artists to showcase their digital artworks each one stored as a TRC-721 token. The platform allows users to purchase and own unique digital art pieces. This arts can be displayed and sold in the future.
- Just Dance: This is a popular dance game that has partnered with TRON to issue a series of TRC-721 tokens. This represents unique and rare dance moves in the game. Players can purchase, trade and own these unique moves.
