Basics of Tron (Part 08) : How to stake Tron (Converting Tron to Tron Power)

As a moderator of the community, I am regularly sharing the details of Tron with you. Our knowledge on any subject is enough. So, it’s a knowledge sharing opportunity for all of us. This community is an initiative to share tron based knowledge with each other.
Those who know a lot about the Tron blockchain have certainly come a long way, but for those who are brand new or want to get an idea on it from the beginning is a challenge. I am constantly writing in this community about the basics of Tron, from the very beginning. The name of this series I write about Tron is Basics of Tron. I provide links of my previous posts so that you can get a better idea by visiting those as well. Hopefully, tron lovers will be benefited from this series.
In this BASICS OF TRON series about Tron Blockchain, I am constantly sharing the details of Tron Blockchain with you. In the last episode, I showed you how you can connect your Tron Wallet to a web wallet like TronLink. From today onwards I am going to show you how you can become a miner by using your Tron and earn passive income from here.
As I said in the previous tutorials, if you want to make money with your Tron then you have to vote for Witnesses here. When your vote goes to top 27 Witnesses (Super Representatives) then you can also earn money from here as a miner.
If you want to vote for a Super Representatives with your Tron (TRX), you must first stake your Tron. That means, you have to power up and convert Tron to Power. With one Tron Power, you can case one vote. You will be paid in proportion to your contribution.
So, in today’s tutorial, Let’s check how can you achieve TRON POWER.
Step 01: Go to the TRONLINK web wallet browser extension and select your specific tron Wallet (if you are connected to more than one wallet). Here you can see the option Stake. Click on it.
Step 02: It will take you to a new window named Tronscan. Here you can see details about your wallet under the option resource. Your Staked, Unstaked, Bandwidth, Energy information will be shown in this page. To stake TRX (obtain Tron Power or Bandwidth or Energy), you have to select the option obtain here.
Step 03: In new window, you can see two options like Tron Power and Bandwidth and Tron Power and Energy. What is the function fo Energy and Bandwidth, I shall discuss in another tutorial. Select first one.
Step 04: Type the amount. i have written 10 as trial. Now, you have to click on stake after checking the tick mark box.
Step 05: A new window will ask for confirmation. Click on Accept.
Step 06: Staking Done. Click on OK button.
Now you can check the Tron Staked amount is updated from 2071 to 2081.
This is now available to vote for Super Respresentaives. In next tutorial, I shall show you, how can you do so.

Nice tutorial. But I have one question, can I cancel the stake? In steem blockchain, I can power down my sp.
Yeah obviously you can. But for this you have to wait at least 72 hours because you tron will be locked for 72 hours at least.
