Steemit Philippines Community Minor Contest of the Week: "Comment Your Childhood Photo"
Good day everyone..!
There are many different stories in our childhood days. Special days, occasions, travel and many more. We always think and imagine the memorable moments happens to ourlives when were still a kid.
Today, We will make a new and exciting minor contest and the theme is; Comment Your Childhood Photo Minor Contest.
In this contest, we can express and share our cute and wonderful moments the time when we are still a kid. This is our time to throwback our best memories when we are a kid.
The Mechanics are very simple;
- Comment your childhood photo.
- Tell your wonderful and memorable story behind of your photo you choose.
- Invite 3 friends to join our minor contest.
- The minimum words must be 100 words.

Hello Everyone! I just want to share also my honorary entry for this week's minor contest, the childhood photos, I find it very fun seeing those cute and adorable childhood photos that reminds us from the past.
This is the only photo of my childhood left but I do remember this moment when I join a contest in my Pre-school days the King and Queen and maybe I was 6 years old. I didn't won as King but I am happy for the experience. If given a chance by God to go back on my Childhood years, I will definitely grab that for I do remember my childhood full of fun and no problems at all.

Mura kag akoang manghud, kato siya maghilaka if dili makaapil. hjahahah Sayang kaau ang mga photos mel ai. murag naay something man ron na pwede maretrieve pa ang mga old pictures. Not sure unsa pod lage.
The baby in the photo was me with my mother(carrying me), and my 2 godmothers. This was during my baptism. I could not remember any of this day but I know I am so much love them. This photo is already 38 years and Mama still have it. That's more than love for me if there's any term to call other than love.
The way my mother carried me with so much joy and love is the same she has been doing for me and the rest of my siblings and their families. When I became a mother, I could not imagine how my mother sacrifices for her 8 children. I even have hard time (sometimes) with only one child. Keeping photos from long time is extremely difficult especially that it wasn't digitally done. It was also expensive for us to have photos taken before.
Keeping memories is essential. So keep your photos with you either in the phone or printed one so your kids or in the future you will enjoy reminiscing every moment you see in the photo.

Though we don't have memories of when we were still a baby, this kind of photo never fails to make us smile. Just by seeing it automatically nacoconnect tayo and we can't help but feel nostalgic.

Something happens in the life of each of us. And if that incident happened in childhood, then it must be sweet.
I remembered a lot of my childhood through this competition of yours. For a moment I was lost in the present moment of my childhood.
The picture I am going to share with you today is a picture of my childhood. I was very young then and this picture was taken in my house.
The photo was taken on Eid day wearing pajamas-Punjabi and hat. I don't remember if it was Eid of Ramadan or Eid of Sacrifice. I have heard stories from my elders that this is a picture taken on the morning of Eid. And in general, Eid is the biggest religious festival of Muslims. And we make representative fun. For those who do not know, Eid means happy.

Childhood is the foundation that must be perfected if we are to live in a world that thrives. It's supposed to be a moment of innocence, wonder, security, and love. It should serve as a firm basis for future epigenetic and biological wellness.
I came across this while sorting through old photos! It's a picture of me when I was three (3) years old. My mother and aunt told me I was the town's favorite flower girl. I am always the apple of the eye for couples getting ready to say their "I DOs," and occasionally a Cape Bearer of Queens at Town Fiesta.
My early memories were still fresh. In this photo, I'm marching down the aisle of a Protestant church, flinging flowers before the bride and her entourage pass through the altar. I'm still drowsy. My Dad would bring me to the Church for the wedding rehearsals in the afternoon after his job a week before the wedding day. It's sometimes late at night when the rehearsal concludes, and I'm exhausted (what would you expect from a 3-year-old kid). They'd give me sweets to cheer me up before returning me to the rehearsal.
I remember Mom telling me a day before the wedding to go select flowers in her garden and fill my basket with different petals of flowers. I like collecting flowers because I can play with them by tossing them in the air like I'm taking a shower...On the wedding day itself, my mom wakes me up at four a.m. so I can eat breakfast, she brings me to a bath, and my Aunt will do my hair and apply my makeup. My father will take me to the church at five a.m., as the wedding ceremony begins at six a.m., and then to the reception. It would be exhausting for a child.
But no! Because I have playmates nearby, I had a great time. While my father is chatting with the newlyweds, I am with my playmates playing "taguan" (hide and seek). My Dad would look for me after the reception and find me covered in sticky perspiration and my clothing caked with dust. He would carry me then, wipe my entire body, and change my clothes before we went home because my mother would be furious seeing me in my stead.
How I miss my childhood, in which I had so much fun with nice and caring people around me; if only I could turn back the hands of time...

joining here because I miss my childhood:
Back when we were kids, we love to swim in the sea from morning until afternoon, this explains our skin complexion and pale toes. As soon as we reach home, our mother would prepare champurrado for our snacks and we would end up smiling and happy because we were full.
In the photo, we were just done eating champurrado. That's our eldest on the left side, I am in the middle, and the little boy there is our youngest. I must say that I was quite a happy child back then as long as I can go out to play and swim almost every day most especially in the summer.
Also, those bamboo chairs are still with us, it's in our back veranda now.

Long live ang kawayan na lingkuranan dai ba. Daghan pod mig butang na mas magulang pa saako. Sus intawon. Hehe makalingaw jud kaayo basta duol dagat ba. Mga pagtong nalang jud sinalom-salaom. Bahalag kadaadlaw, dili jud sumhan. Ako ato sauna, mapura apas akoang tata (lolo side sako mama) kay barkada nako mga laki, ako ray bae. Purag langoy2 ui. haha
My Mama loved taking photos of me when I was still a kid. Sometimes, she would ask me to call my cousins so we can all have pictures together. And she wanted us to dress up. Until now, she loves to snap everything, even taking selfies. I am not sure how old I am in this photo, but I'm guessing I was four years old going to five since I can't remember @goiinmary is already born.
In this photo, I was forced then bribed because I didn't like to dress up every time Mama wanted to have a photoshoot. I was crying. What made me say yes? The M&M. She took it out from her bag then placed it on the table. She was studying on her third course at that time that's why she can buy food that wasn't available in my small hometown.
After seeing that, I immediately ran to the bedroom, which was on the second floor, and hurriedly wore my new pair of clothes Mama and Papa bought. I asked for Nana's (my grandma) assistance. While I was still fixing my socks, Mama took a photo of me.
At that time, Mama and Papa haven't bought a house yet, our home now. So we were living in our grandma's house.
You're a beautiful girl, dear. The girlie look you had when you were little was still there. Are you Tommy like when you were a kid? Though I am somewhat tomboy, I love to dress and pose for a photoshoot ... hahaha
Hehe yes auntie. My friends are all boys. My cousins na close ko, mga lalaki rin. Even now, mas madali makipagkaibigan sa mga lalaki. hehe That's why photoshoot is not my thing, hangang ngayon, gusto ko lang ako yung nagpipicture. hehe
Same po kayo ng kapatid ko. Mahilig sa picture, and gusto sumali ng mga pageant. Pero ngayon, nag-iba ang ihip ng hangin, parang barumbado. hahaha criminology student ngayon.
Ay, am not the mayumi type. Kapag may loloko-loko asan mo ang upper-cut. may napatulog na ako...hahahait's in my blood yata ko na naay pagka-Tommy Girl kay puro boys ang mga kapatid ko at halos mga lalaki din barkada ko nung high school maski pa all girls school ako pinaaral.

I think it is my only one picture that is save . Unfortunately i have no picture of my childhood. This is my sister's wedding photo.me and my brother was only 5 and 6 years old . These days are not forgot in my memory because it is first wedding in our house and we all were very happy. Our new clothes, cousin's gathering, happiness are all around us. In summer my sister's wedding arrange and we played all day long without any tiredness.

I have many wonderful amd memorable moments when I was on my childhood days. This picture of mine was very memorable. I was celebrating my birthday, I am 3 years old in this picture. Im so very happy when my Ninong, brought a pair of sandals and my mother wants me to sing and dance while im standing at the window.
That is my Mother holding me so I would not fall. Also that sando and shorts Im wearing was also given from my Ninang.
I have my supportive ninong and ninang. When I was a kid, playing and eating is my hobbies. There are no problems in Life....

Hello everyone, I wanted to join that because I thought that will be fun !
I'm gonna leave here a photo with me and my goat :D
When I was a little girl, we were going to my grandparent's village every summer and I've never eaten anything when I was a kid, I only drank milk with sugar in the breakfast and my grandpa bought me a goat so I could drink milk from it. Because there were no markets in the village :)
I was feeding my goat everyday so he was feeding me too :) We became very good friends and I made this emotional attachment with him.
Let's get to the end... I don't know if you know guys? We have a tradition as feast of sacrifice which we call ''Kurban Bayramı'' and on that day, while I was sleeping... my grandpa cut him for that feast and I was so upset. I didn't talk to him for the whole summer. But they were still good days, I'm looking them with a big smile cause now I don't have them both. I miss them both. Thanks for reading my goat story :)
