Food Adventure #13 | Tamaya Japanese Restaurant - Delicious Jap Ramen!
Welcome to Round 13 of this Food Adventure Series! Authentic and delicious Japanese Ramen in a small restaurant
If you're looking for real, authentic Japanese food that will transport you (metaphorically speaking) to Japan itself, then look no further than Tamaya Japanese Restaurant. Located in a random shopping complex on the Gold Coast (Australia). It's a small casual-dining restaurant that offers amazing service, has very polite Japanese staff and amazing food that tastes like you're eating off the streets of Japan.
I've eaten at this restaurant quite a few times and my favourite go-to dish is the Miso Tonkotso Ramen. This delicious flavoursome broth is a hybrid between the classic miso (fermented bean paste) and tonkotsu (pork) bases. I love the combination of flavours from this hybrid version of ramen that Tamaya have perfected. The noodles are soft and chewy and disappear way too fast when you're as hungry as I was at the time. The pork is tasty, tender and just melts in your mouth. If only there was more!
Tamaya have so many other delicious Japanese dishes that I will be sure to share with you all in the future! Until then, please drool over these pictures of ramen that I devoured and thoroughly enjoyed.

Ohhh myyy that looks so good. I haven't even ever had real ramen, just stuff from a packet, but I love it. I bet that is out of this world.
If you get the chance you try out real Ramen and not the packet stuff. The soup is so flavoursome and delicious! Perfect in colder weather as well
