Food Adventures #4 | Malaysian Food! Dry Curry Egg Noodles & Wat Tan Hor

Hi Steemit,

If you love Malaysian food than feast your eyes on my delicious food adventures from today. My youngest sister and I usually both have Mondays off from work (me) and university classes (for her), so we usually spend our Mondays eating delicious food.

Today we went to dine at Pappa Rich at Westfield Garden City, Mt Gravatt in Brisbane. Pappa Rich is a modernised Malaysian restaurant with a HUGE range of delicious Malaysian food and drinks. I will usually order something from their Signature Dishes menu, such as their Hainan Chicken Rice, but decided to go with something else today.

I selected the Dry Curry Egg Noodles with Steamed Chicken and a classic Iced Teh Tarik. The egg noodles are so delicious, coated in a flavoursome curry sauce, served with Asian vegetables, additional curry dipping sauce and some tender steamed chicken. The drink is basically a Malaysian ice milk tea but delish and refreshing nonetheless.

@crystaljl selected the classic Wat Tan Hor, which is a wok-fried rice noodle dish served in a thick egg gravy with a combination of chicken, seafood and vegetables. This noodle dish had that delicious and fragrant wok hei or breath of the wok flavour that any great wok-fried dish NEEDS to have. Pappa Rich did not disappoint.

I love dining at Pappa Rich as they always have friendly staff, fast service and delicious food. They have a Call Button system to make sure you are always attended to and you order your dishes via a written paper order, which is a nice system that works well.

Our Monday Food Adventures would not be complete without a bit of post-lunch dessert, so we walked over to Hokkaido Baked Cheese Tart to pick up some CHEESE TARTS! They have a few different varieties to choose from but I always lean toward the original. It is really yummy while it is still warm - the shortcrust base is nice and crunchy, while the cheese filling is fluffy and cheesy. Nice way to end our lunch-time escapade.
