Food Adventures #5 | Betty's Burgers & Fries
Welcome to another Food Adventure!
This time @crystaljl & I try out Betty's Burgers
Today, on our weekly Monday food feast took us to the Pacific Fair Shopping Centre on the Gold Coast and we visited Betty's Burgers, a burger joint that specialises in burgers (surprise!), fries and some pretty epic looking thick shakes. We opted for a few different burgers to try and a side of fries. We skipped out on the thick shake as we were planning on getting ice cream from Ben & Jerry's after lunch.
The layout of the restaurant is really refreshing and inviting, but also with an old-school burger joint vibe. They have these cool Order and Collection windows to place your orders and pick up your food when it's all ready. The staff were friendly and attentive, and the food was served very quickly.
We opted for three different burgers to try a variety of what they had to offer. Betty's Classic was made of Angus beef, lettuce, tomato, onion, cheese and Betty's special sauce. Second, we ordered a Crispy Chicken Burger made up of delicious Southern Fried Chicken, lettuce, tomato and Betty's special sauce. Lastly, we ordered the Shroom Burger - vegetarian but oh-so delicious. This was not your average burger and was made up of crisp fried mushrooms filled with Gouda and Gruyere cheese, salad and Betty's special sauce. The fries (or chips as we call them in Australia) were tasty, fresh and the perfect side to top off these burgers.
Hope you enjoy drooling over this burger picture! They were all delicious, although my favourites were the Shroom Burger & Betty's Classic. We will definitely be back sometime in the future if we ever have burger cravings - maybe we will try a thick shake next time!

Many burger joints or stalls proclaim themselves as pros but they fail big time simply because they don't know a single basic fact that lettuce and tomato slices CANNOT go underneath a meat patty. Juice from lettuce and tomato quickly makes a bottom bun soggy and absolutely unfriendly to eat.
But Betty's doing it completely right! Stick with Betty's the burger joint :-)
Nice observation! I didn't even think about that but it definitely makes sense. The burgers were pretty good though - it must be because of the order of ingredients!
