Dining Out - At Thai
At Thai
The shop ends just to the right of the Noodle Bar sign. Small frontage in the food court
This is just one of the many take a way locations in the food court at Westfield Eastgardens. I've been often enough that I think I've eaten at all the locations I'm likely to, including a couple that are no longer there, and their replacements.
As their name suggests, they specialise in Thai style meals, with a small selection of dishes for the usual Asian take away combination of rice/noodles with 1-3 dishes at various prices, but their main menu seems to be more of their main market.
This time around I decided on one of my normal dishes and got a Pad Thai. It took about 5 minutes for them to get it made and brought out to me, which seems too long for them to be just reheating it, even though it seems pretty quick for making it up, so I'd expect that it's more mostly made and just throwing the final components together and heating through.
I think I got a bit too close. That looks like a mountain of bean shoots, rather than just a lot of them
The dish was nice enough, but not brilliant. On the plus sides, it was a decent sized serve, and they freely provided a take away container for me to take the leftovers home with me. They reheated nicely later also which was good. For my liking there was too much crushed nuts and bean shoots, but there was plenty of my chosen meat (chicken) in decent sized pieces. The carrot pieces could have been cooked for longer or sliced thinner, but either way they'd have been more palatable, instead of being essentially warm raw carrot. Plenty of noodles and a reasonable sauce that stuck to the components. I'd probably eat it again, but there are enough other options to select from in the food court alone that I don't even have to come back to this store if it doesn't live up to my standards.

Thanks. When you like what you're writing about, it's a lot easier than coming up with nice sounding comments about something that really wasn't that great.
