Loneliness belongs to the number of those words, the real life meaning of which, it seems, is clearly understandable for us. But this intuitive clarity is deceptive, as it hides the complex and sometimes contradictory philosophical content of the concept, eluding the rational description.

Loneliness is usually seen as something destructive for a person, preventing it from living, putting obstacles and breaking it. And often loneliness is interpreted as a consequence of the external world pressure on the personality, which forces it to shut itself off from it, to flee, while suffering from it.

Loneliness is almost always perceived by us as a tragedy. And we run from its top downwards, unable to endure communication with our own self.

But escape from loneliness is an escape from ourselves. For only in solitude, we can understand our existence, as something we and our close ones need. Only after passing the gates of loneliness, a person becomes really interesting for the world around it. Loneliness is the axis that pierces through our life. Around it childhood, youth, maturity and oldness revolve. In fact, human life is an endless sequence of loneliness destructions and deepenings into it.

Loneliness is beautiful afterlight. In its pure light, daily life dies and all the most important things come to light. Loneliness stops the time and bares us.

Only now, after two months of lessons and hard training with Master Lucas, I had a day off. Lazily lying in my bed, I thought of Camellia. These days, we met only at the lessons of Master Amador, and after all, she is one of the few people who treated me with kindness and helped me in every way when I needed it.

Training strongly exhausted me. But the work done gave its results. I learned to determine the limit of the power available to me, transfer energy into the stones, and also mastered a lot of simple techniques. On my necklace, which was given to me by Master Lucas, there were three medium-sized stones, the strength of which I was able to control easily. I wanted to add a few more stones, but the teacher forbade this, telling that this would cause many questions from the rest.

As for my own studying and training the forbidden techniques, things there were not so smooth. Management of anger is not an easy thing, but still, I managed to master the technique of a water shield.

The adepts of the tower were so busy preparing for the tournament, which is less than a month away, that nobody paid attention to me, and I was very happy with this. I could practice freely, not far from the valley of knowledge, without causing unnecessary questions.

Today, I decided to find and talk to Camelia, maybe I'll be able to find out what's going on with her. Perhaps, I should start with the place of our first meeting, maybe she is there.

The more I train and become stronger, the more power I want to take under control. Every day I'm getting stronger and I feel the hidden energy inside me. And this is not the power that Master Lucas has limited, there are other energies that are different from what is available to me now. In a moment, when I fall asleep, they come to me in a dream, in the form of blurred silhouettes of people and beg me to be released.

But now I must limit myself to three cumulative stones, which contain only a small fraction of my true strength. I spent half of the energy from one stone, just to teleport into the valley of knowledge. I do not like this restriction, but so far I had no choice.

"Water element summoning - water Alem!"

I turned to scream and what I saw struck me. It was Saul, who was gasping. His amulets were dark, which meant only one thing, there was no Eyvaz energy in them. Near him stood, three feet high creature with small legs and arms and completely disproportionate head. Its face had no nose, only a mouth, filled with sharp teeth and big blue eyes, without eyelids or eyebrows. Though it was unusual, it did not cause fear I went to it in order to quench my curiosity, asking about the strange creature Saul had summoned and at the same time to find out if he had seen Camelia.

"It's good to see you, Saul."

Hearing me, the creature instantly turned. Its gaze seemed ominous to me.

"Daniel, fall to the ground!" being frightened, shouted Saul.

The creature growled ominously, and then took a deep breath, drawing air into the lungs. With ridiculously inflated cheeks, it released something like a water arrow in my direction. If Saul had not warned me, I would not have avoided it. But I quickly fall to the ground and danger passed by.

"Alem, I release thee!"

Hearing Saul's troubled voice, the creature immediately dissolved into the air, leaving behind only traces on the spot where it stood.

"How are you, Daniel? You should not approach so quietly, Alems are fearful creatures and fear makes them attack everyone around indiscriminately."

"What was it? What is Alem!?" I exclaimed excitedly, rising to my feet.

"Alem is an elemental."

I looked at Saul with confusion, alluding him that I did not understand his words. In response, he took a deep breath.

"Daniel, you should spend more time in the library. Elementals are beings that represent a certain element. Although most of them are not very smart, they are excellent allies with unique abilities. It's true that a lot of energy goes for their summoning. And their presence in this world constantly spends energy of the magician. Even having successfully performed the summoning of the elemental, it is not a fact that it will obey you. Only by agreeing with elemental about an alliance, you can gain tits support. But you need to be stronger than your elemental. Therefore, Alem attacked you without my order. I did not quite get along with him."

It seemed to be very interesting. It would be great to study this technique.

"I'm very grateful for your lesson. But, in truth, I do not have time for this. By the way, have you seen Camellia? I need to talk to her."

Saul raised his hand and scratched his head, demonstrating that he was thinking about where she might be.

"Most likely, she is at the waterfall a few miles from here. The waterfall is located to the south of the gorge of tears. After Pilar disappeared, she often walks there."

Suddenly, he became silent, as if he has said something he should not have said.

"Okay, Daniel, I need to go, I still need to accumulate the energy to teleport to the Waldorf tower."

Watching as Saul ran away, I once again thought how strange he was. However, his advice and teachings always helped me. And most importantly, he pointed the place where it is possible to find Camellia. And I immediately set off to find her.
