There is a place in the world, hidden from the sight of people

There, in different places, five towers stand on the hills.

Where are the wands, the swords and the magical pentacles, where the mages of the elements live.

There, lightning, fire, water, earth, and air are dancing,

And everything in this world is subject to them!

They will help you, they will protect,

Master the elements to become strong

Go into each tower and learn,

Elements for the dance – for the eternal love!

Never enter the sixth tower, there are dark creatures, there are dark thoughts. The sixth element, is deeply locked underground…

It wants to swallow, the world, all living spirits, and you!

Opened my eyes, and jumped out of a bed with fright, I took a deep and so pleasant breath. I did not understand what happened, I looked around. Apparently, I found myself in a small room in which, judging by the dust, no one had lived for a long time. Inside there was a limited amount of furniture, just a bed, a chest for clothes and an armchair with a small neat little table. In the corner rose, three feet in height, mirror. Above the table was a small window, into which, due to the large amont of dust on the glasses, the rays of sun struggled to break through.

"I need to get out of here!" a thought flashed in my head as I approached the wooden door. I, with all my might, pulled at the doorknob, but my actions did not bring any result. The door was locked.

"Go into each tower and learn, elements for the dance – for the eternal love" unexpectedly, in my mind, sounded these familiar words.

At this moment, I remembered the whole song that I had dreamed last night when I was unconscious. But it was not its meaning that worried me, but the voice of a man who sang beautiful lines. I heard it before, in that glade in the forest. It was the voice of a woman, filled with tenderness and love for me, deep inside I felt it. But, why did she leave me? And what happened to her?

Gathering my thoughts, I went to the mirror to look at myself. After all, I could not even remember my appearance. I thought that if I see my face, it will magically revive my memory. After a few steps, I stopped in front of it. In the reflection of the old mirror, I saw a young, tall, blue-eyed young man, about twenty years old. On the top of the head was dense, short-cropped, and black hair. For a second, I even smiled at my reflection, exposing my snow-white teeth, which glistened with white on my swarthy face. But after a second the smile was gone, and a gloomy look came to after it. The shirt, dressed on me, was all torn and soaked in blood, the pants looked no better. I had a look, as if I were fighting a pack of wild beasts.

Suddenly, a wave of terror came over me. I remembered that moment, not far from the tower, when I was surrounded by a dense sphere of water, limiting my access to air. Creepy people in dark blue robes, wanting my death. I grabbed the back of the head, which used to be terribly sick from the wound, to my happiness it was not there. A little surprised to this healing, I checked the scorch that was on my stomach, it was not there either.

My amazement was interrupted by heavy steps, which became more loud with every second.

"Medium height and lame", for some reason I thought to myself that such features are possessed by the person who owns these steps.

I was sure that he was going after my life. And for myself, I decided that if my fate was to die in this dusty room, then at least I would do it with honor, staring into the eyes of the murderer. I turned around to face the door, my hands clenched into fists, waiting for the master of the loud steps to enter, ready to give him a rebuff.

The door opened with a screech, a middle-aged man limped into the room. His face was adorned with a huge scar. Taking a step, he stopped and looked steadily, as if appraising looked at me. Lame man did not create the impression of a dangerous person, but something inside him, deep inside, was filled with power.

"I greet you in the citadel of water mages - the Waldorf tower. My name is Lucas, I am the master of the water element" said the man with a scar. "Young man, I do not know who you are and for what purpose you came to the tower, but now your future fate depend on your answers to my questions."

Lucas's voice sounded very serious and made it clear that if I kept silent, it would not end well for me.

"Water mages? What does it mean? I do not know anything about magic! Let me go!" I cried in confusion. Anger mixed with perplexity completely enveloped my body.

"Young man, you must calm down! Only in this way will we be able to understand the situation and help each other. I do not wish you evil my young friend, you should have understood this, judging by the wounds that suddenly stopped bothering you. First, tell me, what is your name and where did you come from?" Master Lucas asked.

"The last day is all that I remember," I began, calming down a little. "Yesterday about four o'clock in the afternoon I woke up, all alone, all wounded, in a small glade in the forest. I decided to find a way that would lead me to people. Wandering through the forest, I could not find any roads or signs of other people. Then, I stopped, just for a moment, in order to catch my breath and look around. And at that moment, I noticed a huge oak tree, on the trunk of which was a drawn drawing. Touching it, I somehow, strangely found myself in your territories. Where I was very cordially greeted by the locals. That's all I remember, I cannot say anything else. My name is also unknown to me. But, perhaps, call me Daniel, for some reason I like it.

Suddenly, I became very uncomfortable with my explanations. Just saying, all this nonsense out loud, I realized how stupid it sounded. But the serious look of Master Lucas, restrained my desire to laugh at the current situation.

"Are you talking about huge oak trees? Really?" Lucas said very quietly. "No matter how it was, but you were the first who could pass the water barrier of Archmage Eliot. Judging by your story, it's no accident, an ordinary person and even magicians cannot do it. Whoever you are, Daniel, but I can tell you with the confidence that you are endowed with the energy of Eyvaz, only the water mages own this power, surely it helped you to do the impossible. The adherents of the tower have a certain code, following which, we are obliged to teach you to use this force. Now you have to make a choice, stay here and acquire knowledge that will help you to open your potential, or leave. Immediately leave.

After the words of Master Lucas I was in turmoil. On the one hand, they give me the opportunity to leave this strange place, which frightens me painfully, and it would be foolish not to use such a chance. But if to look at the situation from a different angle… Then I should stay here until the moment my memory returns. After all, where will I go? Maybe no one is waiting for me? A home is a place where people think about you. Does anyone think about me? Do I have a home? Many questions and no answers. My intuition told me - only remaining in the tower, I can find the answers.

"Master Lucas, I have nowhere to go, most likely, there is no place in this world for me to wait," I said, lowering my eyes. "Therefore, for my part, it would be foolish to leave the tower, such a decision is nearly equal to suicide. I want to stay here until I figure out what has happened."

I looked up at the expressions of Lucas face, it showed no emotion. It was impossible to say what he was thinking about at that moment, which was quite alarming. But the unnatural bright blue light, the source of which was a necklace, with ten unusually large stones, calmed me, not letting me regret the decision.

"So be it," Master Lucas said calmly. First you need to change clothes, in the chest you will find clothes for yourself. I'll be outside the door, and then I'll take you to the refectory hall. You must be hungry? Do not worry we are not so bad, on the way I'll tell you how everything is arranged here.

On the way to the exit, Lucas stopped, and then added:

"Daniel, I'm glad you made the right decision. The goddess herself brought you to the Waldorf tower."
