Steemit Weekend Update: What's Happened to the Market? And Quick Witness Update!
Weekend Update with Brandon Frye
Over the last two weeks I've been working almost non-stop (16+ hours a day) in my primary business which has given me little... actually... ZERO time to play on Steem and push out new content. But I feel I'm getting caught up and should have some regular videos coming again very soon. Anyways, I thought I would try and give you guys a quick update in today's video about what I've been doing and some changes coming to my Witness Setup, specifically my Seed server.

As we have seen, it get pretty quite in #STEEM when the markets are the way they are which is unfortunate as it is the best opportunity to get more of the STEEM rewarded from the pool. It also continues to provide good entry prices for the long term. I remember when I started on STEEM that I thought the guys who bought below $1 were geniuses; so why would I not buy here? The fact is that #STEEM is building an ecosystem that is creating value through innovation so it has a future. I want to be there as an early adopter and the benefits that may come from it.
True, it's kind of funny how people react to the market. I would be making a LOT more content right now if I could, my schedule just doesn't allow it. Now's the time to stock up on Steem and probably the easiest time to earn it.
It is tough out there right now. Glad you are staying on as a witness. If there are some big fish pulling out, there may be some witness votes coming your way:)
True. True! I'm not going anywhere. Glad to do my part here on the Steem blockchain. I fully support this blockchain and project. :)
Hey @brandonfrye I applaud you for setting up the seed node. It was a really good and well-meaning initiative on your part. It's too bad that it was not added to the github list and therefore remained unused :(

Thanks @faraicelebr8, I felt like it was an obligation for becoming a witness. But now I see that perhaps it's really not. In fact, I would now recommend that new witnesses NOT setup a seed node until they've been around a bit because it's not that easy getting your seed node listed... and it costs a lot of money lol. :)
Great to hear from you Brandon! :) Yeah the market is bloody right now. haha hopefully it turns around soon, going into the last quarter.
I remember hearing earlier in the year that we're probably going to continue this bear market through the end of 2018.. and that prediction is looking to be accurate, unfortunately.
Yeah, you are probably right, I know lots of people are expecting it to boom again, like it did last year...but I agree with you.
Thanks a lot for being such good witness, I updated my vote, I do that every 2-3 months and I'm still voting you as a witness and I included you in this post to introduce you to a very good steemian : One of the best steemians
Thanks @clixmoney for your support. And for the mention!!! :)
Will be interesting to see if this decline will have any impact on witness populations as it seems that there needs to be a breakeven for it to make sense.

I agree, if I were able, I now would invest in #STEEM. But unfortunately, I don't have the money to make a big trade.
Promoting the content as you point out it is still important for us to continue posting and commenting! Without that we are not appreciating the true value of the STEEM Blockchain. Thank you for the update...
