Application to become a Curie curator (Version 2)
Curie is a curation project that helps and supports great posts. Posts discovered by curie curators receive generous votes so that new authors who are continuously creating great content without much success get some exposure.
Please visit @curie blog and #curie chat channel to learn more about Curie. When you go to #curie channel on www.steemit.chat, click the pin icon to see the pinned post. Pinned posts have the up-to-date information and and answers for most of the questions you might have. If you still have questions after reading pinned posts feel free to ask in the chat.
Currently only way to become a Curie curator is to be recommended by one of the top curators. I have made similar application post few weeks ago. Many people applied, only two ( @rycharde & @bisade ) went through the whole application process, and they became Curie curators.
Recently, I have seen more people being interested in becoming a Curie curator. That is why I have decided to make another application post. This process is designed to be rigorous because if one recommended curator fails to maintain their Curation Score (CS) at 0.25 or higher they will be disqualified and I would not be able to recommend anymore. Please apply only if you are seriously interested.
Prerequisites
- Applicant must have reputation of 40 or higher.
- Applicant must have been on Steemit for at least a month.
- Applicant must be an active member who engages with community.
Application process step by step
- Go to #curie channel on www.steemit.chat, click the pin icon and read all of the pinned posts and faq. Get familiar with Curie rules and guidelines. Go to @curie blog and read the latest Curie Weekly Update post.
- Leave a brief comment why you want to become a curator. Find an exceptional post that fits Curie guidelines and you would propose to Curie if you were a curator. Include the link for that post in your comment.
- If comment and link found acceptable those applicants will be invited for an interview. Once invited for an interview, you can contact me on steemit.chat directly.
- There will be two questions based on Curie rules and guidelines. If applicants answer both correct they will selected for mentorship.
- During mentorship I will share my experience curating and try to answer any possible questions to the best of my knowledge. Applicants will be asked to find 3 posts that would be submitted to Curie. If I disapprove we will discuss what is wrong. If I approve I will submit them to Curie. If Curie rejects even one post, mentorship ends and applicant will NOT be recommended. If all 3 posts are approved by Curie, I will recommend the applicant to become a curator.
- After applicant is recommended to be a curator, reviewers will need to approve the recommendation. If reviewers approve applicant becomes a curator.
At any step of the process I reserve the right to reject the application for any or no reason. I highly recommend getting familiar with Curie rules and guidelines and understanding the steps of this process before leaving a comment. Many were rejected last time because they didn't get to know the Curie rules and/or didn't follow the steps properly.

Why?
To promote the platform we need great and motivated authors who feel they have us behind their backs.
Having spent almost half a year on Steemit, I became familiar with the importance of curation and its benefits. As an author, I know how difficult it is to maintain stability in payouts at Steemit, even when the quality of the written posts is impeccable. I started to believe my support for others in need could be a way of repaying the help I received in the beginning of my Steemit journey. Thus, I would like to contribute to Curie, knowing how this project works and thinking I have the means to achieve it.
I have experience and interest in app developing, programming, poetry, statistics, music, abstract art as well as general knowledge which definitely could be useful in determining the quality of the posts I would read. More importantly, I have good communication skills, strong motivation and faith in the development of Steemit, and thus I can assure you I would fit the Curie community.

I have been searching on how to become a curator. Thank God someone sent me this.
I have never been curated actually. Some of my friends does. I want to become a curator for a reason that some people writes good contents, but were overlooked due to tons of posts coming in.
I am already training few potential curators at this time. You can direct message me on steemit.chat, we can do an interview. I can only recommend one curator, so it will be the best potential candidate.

As you said in your post that I have to tell why I want to be a Curie curator I am writing the reasons.
I am on this platform from quite a long time and I spend most of the time reading posts. And after these many days I noticed one thing that most of the posts(valuable) by minnows remain underrated. So i want to discover such posts and help them and make this community better.
I am also a minnow my upvote is not much worthy so I can't help a good author myself but I can help them with the help of curie project.
I saw the last post of curie weekly update and I noticed one thing that there are many curators but it will be better if more curators join.(only the deserved ones)
At last the concept of finder's fee is a good one for both the autor and curator.

why do I want to be a new curator, that's because I want to give them a gift on some posts that I think are very interesting, nice and amazing but they do not get the appropriate results from their posts.
I am very happy with the work of the curie community, which they are always meticulous and compact in the team to select new curators and select posts that deserve to appear and gain appreciation.
My post has been curated by the curie's trail several times. I know how good I feel when I see it, it is very exciting for me. I want others to feel that way.

My Application for Recommendation as a Curie Curator
I have been on Steemit for two months and have come to know that apart from good, kick-ass content, every blogger need that whisker of "luck" in the form of getting discovered. I have had such luck, starting from the support I got early on from a minnow support community I joined, and getting @ocd curated by @jznsamuel (who happens to be a @Curie curator too), to mention but a few. As a result it has been a journey I'm particularly passionate about to help discover new, original creators. And being a curator for Curie offers me that opportunity. I already serve a curator role for @muxxybot and organise a contest that has had curie-curated entrants. I am on a journey of figuring out the best approach to consistently finding these gems, so a curator with the high standards of curie will challenge me further on the quest.
