The most brilliant light in the night.
I once read in a little poster in my university:
If we were the day and the night I would surely be the day, for I would die just to see you coming out.
But if we were the Sun and the Moon, I would surely be the Moon to always be at your side in the sky, even when you are not looking for me.
The night is peace and tranquility. The calm that comes with it gives us the soft but constant feeling that, no matter what happened during the day, we can be in harmony during the sweet evening. The darkness of the night lulls us in its arms and allows us to relax to the fullest.
However, these kindness pales before the true light of night.
The night puts us in touch with our deepest desires and emotions. It is with this layer of black velvet that we can search our own souls and find our precious yearnings and cravings best hidden from our hearts. The night invites us to introspection and to the analysis of our own actions.
And just as we explore ourselves so fervently in the light of the moon, we also open our hearts to other people.
The night is accomplice of lovers. The night provides shelter to the friends that accompany each other. The beauty of the night can be truly found in that open door that darkness leaves us to connect and bond in an honest and close way with those who matter to us. Night does not lie, and we can not do it during it either.
The most beautiful verses, the most romantic songs, the most beautiful words, are pronounced in the privacy of the night. There resides the brightest light in the night sky, in the glow of the souls that open to the sky and are seen by those we love.
