Vitalik is losing credibility in my eyes. Dan Larimer pointed out every flaw in Ethereum prior to it happening. Ethereum is in a conundrum of how to solve their scalability issues. There isn't a clear path of how that can even be accomplished. Sharding and other second layer solutions are 3-5 years from implementation at best. Follow me back @investing
Getting rid of the middle men was one of the founding concepts for bitcoin. However, you could argue that by retaining a degree of centralisation in core nodes/ witnesses/ block producers in Steem/ EOS etc that you are shackling or curtailing the middle men as Vitalik suggests.
