Try to win one, my friends. An everlasting vote on your posts is nothing to sneeze at.

The comment must be at least 50 words long - no upper limit 🤪

See the rules below for details.

In an ideal world, you also give that person a nice upvote - but we are not going to check on that.

To be entered into the drawing, go to the Daily Prompt post by @mariannewest. We are doing our best to resteem them to the Freewrite house profile.
Read as many Freewrites as you can. Then tell us about a freewrite you really liked and why.
Choose from the last couple of days if possible so others can go, visit, and, inspired by your description, leave a vote.

I found this wonderful #freewrite by @wandrnrose7 this morning when I was delivering the prompt. She captured the essence of my soul with her words and almost brought me to tears. This is a must read if you've ever loved somebody! And I loved it so much and so did @curie. Take a few minutes out of your day and give it a read, you'll be glad you did. 🙏

Thank you, my friend. @wonderwop

Since my connection finally gives me the chance to read some freewrites I recommend the next 3 to you.

The 1st is written by @myjob. She used the prompt: filthy rich.
Sooner or later we all think about what we would do if we would be rich or even filthy rich. Many have great dreams, some will change nothing and invest and others have the wish for a house, not for themselves but someone else and they want to save the only active fish house still around. Why she makes these choices you can read if you click on the link! https://partiko.app/myjob/free-write-prompt-filthy-rich?referrer=wakeupkitty

My 2nd recommendation is the freewrite of @balticbadger with the prompt: cloud.
What do you see if you look at the sky? Perhaps you see the sun, clouds, or....
storks! We all know what it means if they show up
They do not only stand for good luck but also deliver babies worldwide for hundreds of years. The question is: Where do they find them?
https://partiko.app/balticbadger/my-freewrite-clouds?referrer=wakeupkitty

And my 3rd recommendation is also with the prompt: cloud and written by @lalc.
Do I really need to use 50 words to make you read this ode written for what is so precious to many of us, makes our life sweeter, keeps us dreaming, playing, smiling and young and is a part of our soul? I don't think so since it's just 1 click out of your reach.

Good evening I have read in recent days the writings of our friends @dk007 and @wonderwop, both present fresh topics, which allow us to analyze, reflect, and even extrapolate the feelings to what we each live from our circumstances. They put a lot of love and quality to his writings.

Allowing your mind to wonder, just letting it slip and slide, no restrictions, no taboos, no terms and conditions. Go and ramble, stay and stutter, just be. I like @improv's work because there's a flow to the word jumble. A sense of calm to text chaos. Please only thread if your favorite season is not Summer ;p

I'm sick as a dog these days and going in an out of consciousness, Each time that happens, I need to reboot my needs-an-overhaul laptop, and lose whatever tabs were open. So here again are the freewrites I like for this week, but not the same ones as the last two times I tried to do this. As long as it is not fiction, I like all the freewrites!

These three are all for the "born" prompt:

First up, @joeylim asks how long you can strive if the task you have is

not aligned with your life purpose, values, talents and contributions?

Not for long, @joeylim - get out as soon as you see that happening and try something else.

Then we have @wakeupkitty talking about her kids, birthdays, and feeling sick. I'm with you, my friend. All we can do is keep trying. You are one of my top inspirations here on steem, and I am always happy to read your posts.

https://steemit.com/freewrite/@wakeupkitty/freewriting-together-again-ahlstd3e

Lastly, @improv is musing on the idea of buying 20000 steem. Hahahaha! All I can say, is if you are going to do such a thing, use dollar cost averaging and don't put a big lump sum in all at one time. And thank you for the "do do" joke to make me smile.

https://steemit.com/freewrite/@improv/born-5minutefreewrite

Also - so happy to see all these thoughtful entries. The more, the better!

So sorry to hear you are sick. A big hug from here to you and let's reboot and not overdo it.

Ps thanks for your compliment.

I have three favorites for the prompt "born" and all three are must reads.
@owasco had a dream which inspired her to write a story where the story was the character. When a fabulous story about a story doesn't get the attention it so rightly deserves, it must be told again.
https://steemit.com/freewrite/@owasco/day-543-5-minute-freewrite-tuesday-prompt-born

@karupanocitizen writes a gory and gripping story of how the character feels while stabbing another person. The killer described how stabbing made him feel "like a chrysalis that breaks the cocoon and unfurls its wings." This was an amazing description, but a butterfly was not born; something completely sinister was born. This is a must read!

@hlezama wrote his first freewrite and he knocked it out of the ballpark. This story is about a character named Bone who was born a miracle child. His description of why he was a miracle child reached out and grabbed me, and wouldn't let me go. Bone, on the other hand, thought he was cursed and felt as though he had an "unpaid debt to the gods of death." You don't want to miss out on this one! Reach out and show him some freewrite love.

Once again thank you very much @whatisnew I just started in these freewriter exercises but I am already starting to get passionate.

Knowing that English-speaking users value my writing is very special for me since I do not speak the language.

I hope to overcome the problems of connection and electrical power that my country suffers in order to enjoy the writings of my colleagues.

Greetings and success to all

I still have more of these to read, but at this point I have found three I really love.
From @kimberlylane (who often does it for me!) https://steempeak.com/freewrite/@kimberlylane/born . I love her stream of consciousness freewrites that sometimes bring a very clear picture to my mind. This one describes the moments before waking, and lucky her she wakes next to someone she loves.

Then there was @balticbadger, who has surprised me a few times since March Madness with stories that are very different from his tale of Grant's journey. In this one he gives us a simple look into his life that I found to be very beautiful, and somehow mysterious too. https://steempeak.com/freewrite/@balticbadger/my-freewrite-clouds

And I am loving @myjob work. I'd put all of them here if I could. But this one, which was the first of hers that I ever read, resonated with me. The loss is profound and out of her control. https://steempeak.com/freewrite/@myjob/free-write-prompt-in-the-box

This week I finally found time to read several freewrites, much to my delight! It is difficult to choose just a few to recommend, but here goes:

@myjob's nonfiction story about rebuilding a storm-damaged house, only to have it taken away six months later by the county through eminent domain, is heart-rending. It made me angry and sad all at once. I am glad she and her husband like where they live now, but that must have been a dreadful blow at the time. https://steemit.com/freewrite/@myjob/free-write-prompt-in-the-box

@kaelci managed to turn "slug" into a fertility festival, or something like that. There were really weird people hanging around, and peculiar things going on in the streets and the alleys. For such a short story, she did a great job of convincing me I was glad I wasn't there in person. https://steemit.com/fiction/@kaelci/promptslugafive-minutefreewrite-2o0e5g6i8r

@aejackson's story about the little girl putting salt on the slug really made me chuckle, possibly because I used to enjoy putting salt on slugs when I was a little girl. Fortunately, I didn't get in trouble for using the salt that way. https://steemit.com/freewrite/@aejackson/slug-5-minute-freewrite

I tried this morning but the graphics/formatting did me in again. My husband has the day off work; yard work beckons; it's Good Friday and we have a birthday in the family today. Had my first attempts (three of 'em) succeeded, I would have gotten the Friday Favorites done. As it is, I will do what I hate to do: Admit Defeat.
