Diary of a BANKER-Part 22
Talking about the credit and debit cards can take a lot of parts, but in my diaries i am only pointing on some important issues that may benefit us all by showing the cards circle of life.
Online banking is easier to use than the traditional banking system, it facilitates a lot in executing our transactions but as the improvement of banking sector reaching the sky until it covered almost everything from the hand to hand transactions to the online, it’s now obvious that it is more dangerous to us to be attacked by hackers or thieves (bigger chance to be stolen), also i talked a little about fraud and how to prevent it and a lot of other departments, units, laws and regulations related to the banking sector.
Not less important from what i have mentioned before in the previous parts it is also a necessity to know about the history of banks.
Where it all began with the loans.
When the merchants made grain loans to the farmers and that was around 2000 BC.
In Assyria, the lenders took the temples as an official place to grant loans, even they accepted deposits and performed change of money.
Others like Sumerian, ancient Greece, Roman Empire, ancient China and India also has some similar activities by that time.
At the medieval and Renaissance the banking system has been developed in Italy where some Italian Families dominated banking in 14th century, and they established branches in many other parts of Europe.
