Beer Tasting: Beer Bulli And Edelmeister Pilsener

Hello beer tasters!

Happy December has started, food and drink are everywhere, and I also go shopping and look for what to drink, beer, of course.

Beer Bulli

Brewed by local craft brewery Loo-Blah-Nah, Ljubljana, Slovenia. American Pale Ale style, 0.5 l bottle, alcohol 4.9% ABV.

Interesting story behind this beer. The brewery found completely destroyed VW van in the river Rižana in 2016 and they completely renewed it up to 2018 as mobile beer station.

The beer is pure amber color with solid foam. In the first sip there is a distinct bitterness of hops, followed by the sweetness of the malt. Discreet fruity aromas are also present. Finally, in the aftertaste, the bitterness of the hops still prevails for some time. To me a very good, drinkable beer. If I'll have the opportunity, I'll get another bottle for sure.

Edelmeister Pilsener

Brewed by commercial brewery Van Pur S.A., Warszaw, Poland. Found in local Mercator store (as previous beer), can, 0.5 l, alcohol 4.5% ABV.
Must mention here that when I saw the name I thought it's some German or Austrian beer, but fail, again :(

Clear gold color, foam average. In the first sip, you can feel the malt, the hops in the background, not the bitterness I expect, yet watery. Taste? No taste. No name industrial lager.

I tasted quite a few beers from this brewery but they always disappointed me. Everything was watery and this one is too. When I buy beer, I always go down first to appearance, than to price. Obviously, I'm going to have to read more, not just look at the label.
