Beer Tasting: Kilkenny Irish Red Ale

Hello beer tasters!

What do we have today?

First of all, the story :)
It was a very hot day yesterday, and I was in the car almost all day. For such and other reasons I had a tour of about 600 km and in the evening, after eight o'clock I came home. Finally! Of course, first showering then something very cold. My wife has brought 4 packs cans of Kilkenny Red from somewhere.

Quite a while ago (we haven't had children yet, so more than 17 years) we were in one maritime town on the Croatian coast drinking this beer (and not just one...). For me personally one of the favorite beers. In that time I didn't taste the beers (just drink, ha...).

But last few years, thanks to @detlev because he started and @beerlover which is an upgrade with the crypto !BEER token, I'm taking photos of each new beer I taste and wrote a few words. So, that's the story :)

Kilkenny Irish Red Ale

It's brewed by St. James's Gate (Diageo) which is more distiller than brewer. Beer brands are Guinness and Kilkenny. Other types are mainly whiskeys.
Btw: on the photo around the can are my small cameras for recording live events...

Kilkenny Red is a dark ruby color with a creamy foam. The first impression is cream. Yes, the beer is very creamy (but not too much) with the taste of malt, caramel, and grain. The sweet aroma of forest honey with some bitterness in the end which didn't last long.

Very drinkable and refreshing. Almost the same taste I had in memory. Maybe the brewery changed something in the recipe in 17 years but I would recommend it, definitely.
