Green lantern - pen and ink drawing + 20 SBd coloring contest
This is a pen and ink drawing I did of Green Lantern, it is Inktober so I figured it was a good time to post it. Since I have never seen it colored and have not colored it myself I figured why not hold a contest. 10 SBD will go to the winner and 5 to second and third place. Also feel free to extend the background area since I did crop it some to make sure it fit, I still don't know posting size max here :(
I did take this as a photo so you can see a slight gray area around edges etc that I could not get fully out. I had to adjust the value/contrast to remove some but I think it could be good enough and if you are able to clean it up more please post it here. I had to shrink this a lot and it lost some detail but should be fine.
Rules are simple. Color it however you want (digital/hand/whatever) Post it in this thread, have fun and get creative with background if you like! I do like to see the actual image in the comment but I will be checking links as well if you want to make your own post about it. I am just going to pick the one I like most for whatever reason it strikes me. I learned from last contest I held its not always easy because there are so many different takes that impress me. This is mostly about fun and hopefully something some of you would enjoy coloring.
In a couple days I am going out of town for a week so you have until OCT 11th to complete this, gives you plenty of time. If this post gets some love and I am able to give away more I will be awarding SBD to entries I like etc, I figure I am doing decent here so want to give back in a small way.
I love it. If I have some time, I may try to digitally color this in!! With 9 days, there is a chance I might be able to make something cool out of this =D
I hope I have some time over the next few days to do this one myself. I think I am gonna have to hand color it though if I can find time

Oh, great contest idea! Too bad I'm utter shit at trying to do any kind of editing or digital design. Maybe I'll whip up an abomination against god using this in MS Paint :D
DO IT !! hardly anyone will prolly enter and you could have an easy win too lol plus I just like seeing what people create. Doesn't have to be "perfect" for me to like it.
I really think you're going to regret to consenting to this, lol. I'm going to start messing with it in between writing over the next 2 or 3 days and I'll share the results :P
It's a fair bit past the deadline, but I'm hoping to have this act against the DC gods done soon. MS Paint has not been kind to me, lol.
Okay, well. I'm gonna have to bow out of this. Here's what I got done
The amount of time it takes coloring without looking like a 3rd grader using MS paint is killing my soul. I've honestly probably spent at least 6-9 hours coloring this thing and having to redo sections over and over thanks to my mousepad betraying me.
