How to Yoga - Flow
Good day, Steemians!
There's so much I want to share with you
and I feel like I'm tripping all over myself to get it all out!
I'm excited for everything to come together
(are we in the singularity yet??)
so we can all be our highest selves
and do ultimate good in this place.
I love how Steemit constantly inspires me
to learn new things and be better than the day before,
and for that I want to bring my greatest gifts.
I offer yoga to this revolutionary community
so these revolutionaries can be their best and brightest.
A beautiful thing about yoga is that each day,
each moment even, builds on the last,
and there is no rush to get anywhere
because we're already there.
So I'll just take a deep breath and share everything as the time comes.
This is a flow.
I'll tell you a secret: there are no rules to yoga.
We have frameworks and dependable methods
for achieving particular ends, but truthfully
you can do whatever you want.
You can breathe at your pace and move according to your will.
I share what feels right for me,
in hopes that it will be of benefit to you.
If you dig this flow,
can jump on in and do what I'm doing,
or you can leave or take these suggestions and
freestyle as you please.
There are infinite ways to express yourself through movement,
and infinite ways to come into focused oneness.
How to FLOW like this:
- Sun salutations -
Mountain pose > standing forward fold > flat back > crescent lunge on the right > 3 legged dog > plank > cobra > down dog > crescent lunge on the left > flat back > standing forward fold > mountain pose
Repeat 3 times
- Standing poses -
Vinyasa (= half series = essentially a sun salutation transition) > Warrior I on the right > vinyasa > Warrior I on the left > vinyasa > Warrior II on the right > vinyasa > Warrior II on the left > vinyasa to seated
- Seated poses -
Butterfly > seated forward fold > seated twist > revolved head to knee pose > wide angle seated forward fold > vinyasa > pigeon on the right > vinyasa > pigeon on the left > vinyasa > backbend > knees to chest > forward fold > hero’s pose
