FaceBook (FB): Falling Flat on Its Face?
SUMMARY
Many are saying that Facebook (FB) will fall flat on its face and that's good for Steemit because FB users will migrate to Steemit. I disagree.
The below chart shows a very handsome looking channel for FB and on three occasions generated a bull wick event (white circles). Price did not in any instance decisively breach the lower trendline. Would you be a buyer or a seller of FB at this point?
Let's add the MACD. The weekly MACD is showing oversold conditions. The white 12 week moving average is curling upwards, following the trend of the red histogram making higher lows. Price has made higher lows but the MACD Red/White averages is making a lower low. This is a bullish divergence. Would this be the time to be taking BUYING or SELLING actions?

Steemit is the main threat for Facebook (especially after Cambridge Analytics scandal). Be warned. It is coming.
It could be but not at present. I'm a bag fan of steemit but until it's functionality matches or surpasses that of Facebook, it won't get mass adoption. At present it's still very limited and clunky. Having said that if steemit can seriously improve its UI then yes we could see this happen
... and solve issues with steemit mobs that abuse it.

I agree. Facebook is too powerful for something like this to effect its price. However, I will say I feel the majority of tech stocks are highly overvalued currently, and Facebook is included in that list. People won’t move away from FB and onto steemit because the steemit distribution was a miserable failure, and on-boarding new users is a joke. But on boarding is something we hope to fix in the next version of vapor
I agree the tech companies are over valued but so to is a lot of crypto ! Most have nothing to show other than pure speculation or a "wallet". Having said that please everyone keep inflating the price of crypto and give me a heads up before the next crash lol
