A Roundup of Invitations
My last post was exactly four days ago. It may be the longest I've gone without posting since I've been on #Steemit. Except, perhaps, for that hiccup called HF20.
This one will likely be short, but only because I haven't had time to really think about what to write about and I want to put something out. I had a crazy weekend. For starters, Saturday was baseball day. Both of my grandsons had fall baseball play off games. So, I started the day off with baseball (first game at 9 a.m.) and finished with baseball around 5 p.m. Both games involved some travel to and from. Then, Saturday night, my church was hosting a harvest festival. My wife was the lead on that one, so my participation was mandatory.
Sunday, it was church and a meeting. I was so tired from the weekend that I didn't feel like posting Sunday night.
Monday was recuperation day. Work all day and a visit to Soup Night (an every Monday event) at a friend's house. When I got home, I played Steem Monsters until it was bed time, which wasn't long.
So back to posting. The last post I made was the announcement for October's farmpunk fiction contest, which brings me to my first invitation in this roundup.

Invitation #1
For November, I plan to host another #farmpunk contest. I'd like for this to have some universal appeal. For October, I decided to go with pumpkin harvesting, but pumpkins don't grow everywhere so that might have cut some people out of the running. If I go with Thanksgiving for November, I'll have the same problem. What are your suggestions? What would make a good farmpunk contest for November?

Invitation #2
There's one day left to get in on the next exquisite corpse. So far, the following people have raised their hands to join:
The following folks expressed an interest previously but haven't let me know they're still intersted. @sarez and @ireenchew, if you'd like to participate in this writing exercise, let me know.
These individuals played in the first round but haven't said they'd play in this one: @calluna, @foxyspirit, and @quillfire. If you want in, let me know by tomorrow when this post goes into payout.
Invitation #3
Two days left to nominate yourself or another redfish for the Steem Power (SP) Delegation Giveaway. I'm delegating 50 SP to worthy redfish. Get in now before the two days expire and I make the decision.
Invitation #4
Are you not yet a member of the Speculative Fiction Writers of Steemit Discord community? Join us. We're looking for the following types of writers:

An Idea I'm Contemplating
As a final note, there's an idea I've been kicking around for some time that should be a big hit among Steem Monsters fans. You've heard of fan fiction. I'm contemplating hosting fan fiction contests based on the Steem Monsters game. It is likely, if I move forward with this, that there will be a twist. More details to follow should I decide to press on.
There you have it, four invitations. Please comment below if you have an idea for the next farmpunk contest. Comment on the appropriate post if you want to join the exquisite corpse writing relay exercise or want to nominate a redfish for the SP delegation giveway.
Would you be interested in Steem Monsters fan fiction? Let me know with a comment.

For #1, is the idea of a "cornucopia" pretty universal? Could go with that for November I suppose.
Good suggestion. Fits in with Thanksgiving and is more universal.
I am going to check out those other post thanks for sharing. For the next steempunk maybe you could do with home garden of the future.
I like your steem monsters idea. Cause I am always looking to do good stuff to use their vote bot on as I bought packs and can use it. So more reasons to write good stories would be fun.
Awesome. Stay tuned.
Dropped in to say Hi :D
We all have these days
I went through a patch myself (and I never came around to writing that farm punk story though I considered it)
November is definitely going to be crazy, I signed up for NanoWriMo... not sure what to expect yet... but let's see if I can make it to the end
November November, all the best with the new farm punk contest :D
Yeah, November is a busy month for serious writers. I've never done NanoWriMo, but I've known plenty of writers who have. I hope you're productive.
I am starting to get very nervous
I just filled up the form on the website
Well if anything, it is an experience
Thank you so much @blockurator
Hi @blockurator, I'm @checky ! While checking the mentions made in this post I noticed that @bluteddy doesn't exist on Steem. Did you mean to write @blueteddy ?

.I love all of the fabulous projects you have going on - I’m not a writer in those genres but I wish I was just so I could participate. Following you so I can enjoy the outcome!
I hope you like it. We need great audiences.
Am i too late for the next round of exquisite corpse?
Yes, unfortunately we've already started.

Great idea to write a roundup post like this
Thanks. It seems to have generated some activity. That's nice. :-)
