Average score

After two weeks of good contributions and 4 Staff Picks! We had only 2 contributions, again.
But! The good thing is that the quality of both contributions was good (the average was higher than months ago) and we had 1 Task Request!
Also we have a new show, the Utopian IdeaHub

You got a great idea but lack the knowledge or the time to do everything yourself?
You are a creative person but lack a brilliant idea? You are generally interested in new possibilities and fresh ideas?
This is the show for all of you then!
In a nutshell:
When does the show start? Tomorrow, Tuesday 11th of December at 7 PM UTC
Where does the show happen? On the Utopian Discord Server, this link brings you directly to the audio channel.
What is the show about? New project ideas, pitched directly by the idea creators to be discussed, improved and whatnot. Source

On air every Tuesday, from 7 PM to 8 PM UTC on the Utopian Discord Server

Remember that upvotes are never guaranteed.

Task Request

@Finallynetwork - Announcing Collaboration Submissions by @finallynetwork

Finally Network is an open-source platform running on the STEEM Blockchain. Finally aims to provide creatives with their own customised view of the DATA (Projects, Artwork, Writing, Photography, Videography, Animation) they create and store on the blockchain. With that in mind I thought the best approach was to reach out to the community and allow submissions and requests.

Common mistakes and how to fix them

source

The aim of this section is to show you the most common mistakes found this week. Followed by a short description and tips when applicable. Usually, I split the section in two: Contributions with a score of 25 or less and Contributions with a score of 50 or less. But, this week we did not have bad contributions (fortunately)

1 - Contributions with a score of 50 or more

1.1 - The quality of the mockups/images could be better

Mockups are really useful to explain an idea. We (and most of the users) are not Graphic designers. We do not expect high quality images, but few details would transform a poor mockup in a great one. We have excellent graphic designers in our community, use our Discord server, share your images, ask for help. They will guide you to improve your mockups.

1.2 - The proposal is not detailed enough

The proposal should be as informative and descriptive as possible. This will help the project owner (and the people who read your post) to understand your suggestion. Avoid being vague about the benefits of your idea.

Interesting open source projects

In case that you want to contribute on the Suggestions category but do not know any project, check this list.

1 - Ulog

2 - DTrip

DTrip is an app which helps travelers to share their impressions, favorite places, reviews and get rewarded for it. The application is designed to make topics of travel in STEEM more interesting and useful than just publication and view posts with the tag #travel. [Source]

3 - LMMS

LMMS is a free cross-platform alternative to commercial programs like FL Studio®, which allow you to produce music with your computer. This includes the creation of melodies and beats, the synthesis and mixing of sounds, and arranging of samples. You can have fun with your MIDI-keyboard and much more; all in a user-friendly and modern interface. [Source]

This is another excellent weekly report from you. As usual, I really appreciate the unique aspects of your reports, and may be stealing some for the Blog category reports. The competition is great, and the Common Mistakes feature is similar to my own "tips" segment.

Well done indeed!

Please note that while I haven't changed the footer, I am not scoring #iamutopian posts based on the questionnaire. They have their own metric, and that will be the case until we go live with the new guidelines and new questionnaire, which will be comprehensive enough to reflect these types of posts.

Your contribution has been evaluated according to Utopian policies and guidelines, as well as a predefined set of questions pertaining to the category.

I upvoted your contribution because to my mind your post is at least 11 SBD worth and should receive 118 votes. It's now up to the lovely Steemit community to make this come true.
