An excellent week this week for contribution numbers in comparison to the last couple of months and I'm pleased to report the standard has remained high.

Kicking of this weeks snippet reviews is the monthly report from 'paulag' highlighting new account numbers and activities of those accounts. Are they just wallets, or do their plan to engage further on Steem?

97.61% of new accounts set up, were set up with the newly introduced account creation tokens. source

75% of accounts set up in April have received delegation. source

The above comments from the report highlighting the extensive use of Account Claims and creations, as well as delegation for three quarters of new accounts, however:

Although there are many new account creation services, such as Steem-ninja, we have yet to see a large shift in the % of accounts set up by Steemit Inc v’s others. source

The hope is that in time it will be the apps and other accounts offering their tokens for account creation (as well as a host of on-boarding materials and advice).

'dalz' has also looked an new accounts on a couple of occasions over the past months and also includes a 'small gift' when the most active accounts have been found. In his report, one of the conclusions made is:

there are a lot of accounts with zero posts but with some STEEM in the account. People are using the accounts only as a wallet.

Or perhaps they are having a good look around before they begin :)

'miniature-tiger' has again contributed and this time he took a look at Steem earnings in an attempt to analyse if the distribution of earnings is changing over time. With a previous analysis on this subject 6 months prior, it was easy to conclude that distribution had not changed much, and we are still in a place where:

.. a small percentage of accounts [are] garnering a large proportion of the available rewards. source

The presentations within this report are excellent as usual and I strongly recommend taking a look.

The final contribution this week came from our moderator and excellent analyst 'crokkon' as he took another look at the influence of bots and scripts on @drugwars. The excellent news is that changes made by the developers at @drugwars have almost wiped out automated commands and we now have a game almost free of bots and scripts. A concern may have been that the number of 'players' would drop dramatically after these changes were made but the following chart shows (along with close to 0 scripted operations at present) that their are still a healthy number of players - and they are almost all human operated.

Thank you to the contributors for some excellent analysis work this past week!

Analysis and visual reporting

The aim of this section is to represent the current weeks activity along with a recent set of data. The current data span covers the previous 33 weeks.

Weekly Average Score and number of Contributions

Following a couple of weeks without a contribution in recent times, four contribution equals the highest number in the same week since the beginning of March 2019. The increase in contributions has not meant a reduction in quality as this weeks average of 78 is 8% higher than the average throughout the 33 weeks tallied.

Contributor Totals and Average Score

Ten contributors hold average contribution scores above 70 over the past 33 weeks, a really solid standard. 'paulag' still heads the Analysis contributors table by contribution count, but 'dalz' and 'miniature-tiger' are not far behind.

Contributions that did not receive a score are not included in the charts above.

Review Totals by Reviewer (Scored/ Not scored)

Two reviewers assessed all 94 contributions that received a score in the past 33 weeks. 'crokkon' has reviewed over two-thirds of all contributions to the category. Six contributions have not been scored during this period.
